After being out of work now for two year, I am now doing my fist nightshift. My friend Lynne was returned home from hospital care today. She as terminal cancer and pneumonia. Lynne as not been eating or drinking in the hospital. So I hope to be pushing foods and fluids. There is nothing more they can do for her medically, so we are making her as comfortable as possible. Due to my job as a healthcare support carer and senior, I am trained to help my friend. Please pray for her. Good night all.

Thx Bernadette, it means a lot just to know people, who I would like to call friends, are thinking of Lynne and her family at this time. As long as no-one minds me twittering on, I would like to carry on posting about Lynne. She as had a comfortable night. Ate more since she got home, than in the weeks she as been in hospital. I don't think for one minute Lynne will come back from this. However, the family are living in hope, naturally. As a trained carer, I have switched from friend to carer, to be able to help her and the family. Its hard not to get emotional, but im managing at the moment.

What a great friend you are. I have heard cannabis oil has helped terminal cancer patients, if you can find a reliable source. Good news you are back at work. Good luck with everything.

I bet Lynne is really glad that you are able to help her now she is home. Sometimes just having some to listen to, whether to have a rant or just a sympathetic ear, is all you need, whether you are a career or a patient.

I hope your night went well and I'm sorry to hear about your friend she will be happy knowing your there ❤❤❤❤

Unfortunately Lynne took a really bad turn. There was feaces in her urine. Dn was called, suspected ruptured bowel. Rushed back to hospital. No rupture, however a severe lung infection. Lynne was finally moved to admissions ward until they could find a side room for her. There was 12 of her family there and me. Ward staff not to happy, as we would not leave. Eventually Lynne got a side room in another ward. Family trying to arrange hospice care, however 3 in the que for one bed. Lynne did not want to go anywhere but home. However, the family choose this option rather than the hospital, who it seems now have neglected her. After being awake for over 48 hrs, I finally came home, when staff said a decision would not be made until 9 am today. Only 2 persons were allowed to sit with her anyway. So a few of us left for the sake of the others. My heart was aching for her, but I needed sleep if I'm to go through another day or two like this. Messaged one of her sister's to find out what's happening. Just waiting a reply before I go to hospital. Thank you all for your support, really appreciate it. Keep the prayers going for a smooth passing. Forgot to say, a driver was put in as I was leaving early this morning.
