Hi all, new to the site. This post isn't about me but my friend Lynne. She is currently in hospital, fighting cancer, which she as done for 2yrs. She is at the final stage now. Coming home within the next couple of days, to be made comfortable. Her husband and myself, plus carers will be attending her. I'm so cut up about her at the moment, and have no consideration for myself. I'm absolutely gutted for her family and other friends. Thank you for reading.

IMy husband died of cancer last year, he had palliative care at home. The care team made sure he was not in pain. He was deeply unconscious when he died. A ray of sunshine suddenly shone across him at the moment he went from us.

Talk gently to Lynne, hold her hand, I sang to my husband. Hearing is the last of the senses to go, she may well be able to hear you. Gently stroke her hair, surround her with love, to help her leave this world.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and prayers. Lynne is getting weaker by the day. Her breathing starting to be shallow. You kind people on the site are my only outlet at this present time as everyone around me is involved one way or the other. My hubby is being great with me, but seems reluctant to meet up with Lynn's hubby, who he is friends with, I fear he feels lost on how to speak to him. My hubby Ian doesn't have healthcare training like myself to fall back on. The downside of recent events had me turning back to the fags yesterday . Subconsciously I feel that they will always be my backup for stress relief. Please keep the prayers going for Lynn's hubby and family in this difficult time for them. Thx for being here for me to share my thoughts, it helps.
