Hello! I am also from America. This is a very good forum for education, but really more important is the emotional support that you can get if you reach out for it. One of the best & first things I learned here is "stay away from google" and EXERCISE!! There is an American site called Team Inspire, it is good also. Take care. Gayle

There is another site here on HealthUnlocked, which I believe is US based. Try COPD Friends - but in addition to us, not in place of!

Thanks everyone for your awesome responses. I really do appreciate it.

I now have mild copd - from smoking. I was a teenager during the 70's. We all smoked at the bus stop which is where I started. My father smoked around us my entire childhood as well. Basically, been smoking my whole life.

Ive always exercised, even when I was a still a smoker. Now, I'm feeling it's harder to feel the motivation. I need it more then ever. I know! I know it slows progression.

I'm 5 years into this, probably had it longer.

I'm wondering how you stay motivated?
