I'm new here just wanted to ask if anyone else has back pain after eating. I have cut down on portions which makes it a bit easier. I have had copd for about 10 years. I am 80 years old.

Hi

Has you have found relieve from smaller portions, it could be posture. Try different seating arrangements and table heights.

Thank you for your reply. You could be right about posture, I have to keep reminding myself to sit up straight. Too much time spent on the computer!

Hi Lillian, I have GERD and I always feel the pain from it in my back. If I miss my Lanzerapole, boy do I know about it, try taking some Gaviscon, straight after your meal, to see if it eases it. xx

HI Casper, I had to Google Gerd! I think I will try Gaviscon. Stoneuk suggested it could be posture related, I tried eating in a different position last night, instead of eating from a low side table at the side of me, it felt considerably better so that's how I will eat in future and will take some Gaviscon. Very nice of you to reply xxx

Try cutting out fatty food for a while to see if that helps. I have gallstones and get pain like yours if I eat fatty foods. It would be worth mentioning to the GP anyway. I see someone has mentioned Lansaprozole, you might benefit from that too. Hope you feel more comfortable soon.

Thank you Rayswife. I have a doctors appointment soon so hope I can get it sorted. My body seems to be reminding me that I'm 80 and the COPD is really catching up now. Gallstone pain is horrific, I hope you have it under control. xxx

Yes, if I behave myself it is manageable. I'm glad you have an appointment, hope they get it sorted for you. Xx
