Well it seems thats me nearly done folks...ive already proved them docs wrong twice but i dont know how much more i can do that..my IPF has reached quite a advanced stage plus throw in pneumonia infection & a flu bug caught while in hospital & my chances dont sound great...ive fought off the flu bug i think but the pneumonia is def takin its toll & may have been there for a bit..im on 15litres of oxygen constantly but hoping to get moved to a hospice on Mon/Tues to be more comfy & finish my final days there...its gona happen its just a matter of when it seems...i feel cheated & angry becoz im only 46 & i shouldve lived for at least another 20yrs or so..im a good person never done anything bad in my life but life is very cruel..excuse my french...so all i can say is enjoy life to the fill & be happy...goodbye & thanks for your support on here x π€π

I think you are very brave but don't give up I know how you feel I have emphysema and I've had three Tia's but I am not going to give up yet, take care I will be thinking about you.

Bless you Stevieboy. My heart goes out to you and I can't find any words to bring you comfort. IPF is such a cruel disease and you are right it isn't fair. I am thinking of you.
Please don't give up the fight. You have been burdened with so much recently, perhaps you have more time than you think? Hospices usually take a different approach than hospitals and often cut out any unnecessary medication which might make you feel better for a while and afford you some precious quality time to spend with your loved ones. I wish you a good transition and inner peace.

I dont know how to reply but feel i realy need to reply. So sorry if i waffle on.
Firstly i must say i am very sorry to hear your sadness i pray with all my heart that you beat this for the third time. You are very young. I lost my mam when she was only 45 If you have family and you feel up to it write them all something personal they will treasure it for eternity.
Also I look after people on End of life and the lady i look after at the moment was in a hospice some 4 years ago to live out her last few weeks. She is now home and i have been looking after her for a year and she is not in any hurry to go anywhere she is still so full of life.
I hope and pray you too also have many more years to live

Hi Stevie boy 03 I am sending you lots of spiritual wishes that if and when you pass over it will be peaceful but until then I hope the hospice staff take good care of you. I am so sorry your life has been so short but as you said life sucks it always seems to be good people who get to suffer the most and it does not make any sense anyway it was very nice to converse with you this once so a very sad goodbye x
Hello Stevieboy I rarely comment on people's posts but I couldn't let your post go unanswered. My heart goes out to you and your family but I also know there is little anyone can say to ease your emotional pain. 46 is incredibly young to be so ill but it's not the years we put in that count, it's what we put into those years. You are incredibly brave and philosophical, a role model for many of us.
I hope you are wrong in your belief that time is now running out for you we can never be totally sure when that moment will come.
I am not a religious person but I do believe that our real self, or what others call our soul, lives on in the Universe, We also live on in the memories of our loved ones and it is those memories that help then through the dark times.
What ever time you have left in this world whether it's to be long or short Stevieboy,I wish you peace and both emotional and physicalβ comfort.
Hope you will find peace and comfort at the hospice, but never give up - miracles happen every day, and I can see you're a fighter. Praying for you x

Stevieboy , I am so sorry that you have been so ill and are now going to be made comfortable as possible in the hospice. 15ltres a minute is a lot and my heart goes out to you. Our bodies can let us down and sadly weren't made to last forever but we are eternal beings all of us.
I am just getting ready to go to a hospice here where my dear friend Evan who I've known for nearly 50 years is a patient , he has been through so much the last two years. I don't want to waffle on just wanted to wish you love and hug you, huff xxxx

I am new to this forum. Diagnosed two weeks ago Steve. Its the first post I have seen someone been so open about there future. I'm sad reading about your predictive future. You are younger than myself, and its hard to read. If you are right, I wish you well for the rest of your days. Hopefully its not your time. Dear Stevieboy, you must be feeling so desperately ill, with pneumonia on top of IPF. I am very much hoping the pneumonia can be cured, so that you feel better in yourself. Hospices tend to be loving, cheerful places. I very much hope you will be able to find a few moments, to let us know how things are.
