Air quality

Article on C4 news today. I assume that isn't doing any of us any good. What disturbed me was that the air quality in Storrington was so bad. It's a small town in mid Sussex just a few miles from me. If it is bad there it is probably bad here.

Yes I saw it too, my asthmatic daughter cycles to work in central London so it's worrying. They say masks aren't any good at filtering fine particles.

Hope your lungs aren't suffering too much.

Had a bad time when I went to the cinema yesterday in Southampton. Just hit my lungs xx

It's at time like this I am glad I live by the windy seaside. Any pollution soon clears with the wind. x

Typical Bev

Letting your pollution blow straight to my "wonderful" city !!! We have enough already 😂

Leicester is near the top of the... ' crap air tables ' most weeks !!

Our city is virtually grid locked every rush hour, by hair brained traffic reduction schemes that simple don't work !!

You need a respirator to stand at a bus stop on a main road here !!

Rant over...I am going for a lay down on my recliner 😂😂

I went to Leicester only once when I was a (mature) student in London. The Uni paid for me and another woman to play Leicester Uni at table tennis! We both lost abysmally.... I liked it though as lots of shops. x

That's what counts Bev...lots of shops, who gives a fig about the table tennis when there is shopping to be done.... :-) x

Where I am it is 3.. The Brompton is also 3, I always thought that central London wasn't the best place for a lung hospital.

I'm in Bognor too, well Woodgate. There is more wrong than the air!

Here we had a clear blue sky with not a cloud in sight ,and as they say we had wall to wall sunshine......It was glorious.

Having been rather poorly with one of these viral chest infections over the past three weeks I decided a gentle walk through the town on market day would be good as I really need to get going again.

So no scarf or protection of any kind I had a lovely long walk. There was a slight breeze which was icy cold and made me puff well.

Late in the evening I felt quite cross, that was when I heard we all had bad air pollution.

Our level was moderate , but this morning I feel as if I have gone backwards ........Am very very chesty.
