I've just started using this and wondered what time of day people tend to neb? I've opted for first thing in the morning before I eat. Does that sound right?

Morning Sophie. I've used a nebuliser for some considerable time now and it was explained to me by the specialist nurse that it needs to fit in with your daily routine, whatever works for you. Personally, although I have had to do so, using before breakfast makes me more nauseous so my ideal is late morning or after lunch.

Your medication shoudn't be making you feel nauseous if that is the case your Dr should be looking at using a different medication, may I ask what medications you use in your neb' when were you last updated it does not seem right that you are using a medication that leaves you feeling so ill. I have been using a nebuliser Tree times a day for nearly 14 years and if the medication disagrees with me we find another one I have a brilliant interaction with my specialist . :) hope this is better for you soon

Hello@Sophiej43, and I use my nebuliser first thing in the day, after a cuppa if I'm particularly struggling. However it is totally a personnel thing as others may wait until later on or even again before bedtime. Its a case of trial by error as to when you feel you get the best results. As I'm not a medical professional, its always worth asking your Doctor or Respiratory Nurse if still in doubt. Hope this is of some help.

I was given my first dose at the hospital to ensure I could tolerate. The Nurse there got me to take my salbutamol first (in my case nebuliser) to open the lungs and then wait 5 minutes or so. Then she said to take the saline solution. I take mine first thing In the morning and then just before I go to bed. Take it when you think it suits or fits in best.

I use my nebulizer, with albuterol, three times a day. Morning, after several cups of coffee, mid-afternoon and just before I go to bed. I use the saline solution after the albuterol in the mid-afternoon. I'll have to try it in the morning to see if I get better results.

It depends how many times aday you have to take your medication I have to take mine twice daily so I was told by my Chest Cosultant Specialist to take it mornings when I first ge up and the very last thing at night before I go to bed, at the moment I am taking it only once a dayas a trial and I take it at bedtime because my consultant says that is when I will get maximum benifit from clearence, I also complete a series of exersises called Active Cycle of Breathing twice daily this is set by my repiratory physio therapist. Hope this helps.
