Over did it ,

1&1/2 hours at the gym yesterday ,then home to cook lasagne for tea With garlic bread and salad , we took it all over to our daughters as they were both working ,,, decided on a fresh cream cakes for pudding,, easier & Two bottles of rose' . It was a lovely evening ,,,but oh it's nice to come home and sit in chairs that you get out of without having to scoot to the front of the couch and then be pulled up because they are sooo sqigy and deep and low ,,. Consequently,,. Bad back today ,and I can't put my feet up,and rest as my friend is in hospital ,, so I'm off to visit her this afternoon ,,, if the next beds empty ,,, think I might just have a lie down ,,,haha,

  • Thankyou sassy ,I'll pass on your good wishes ,, I have to say ,,,it was quite strange ,,,actually being the person sitting at the bedside ,,, and not the one in the bed ,,,,,but then I've been lucky that family and friends have had good health ,xx

  • Oh I know those sofas, they look good and they look comfy but they're no good for my back, or my knees when having shuffled to the front,( exactly as you describe), and pushing my knuckles into the squidgyness I try to get lift off.......Its easier to drop onto my knees and get up using the coffee table as a prop, easier still is to get one of my grandsons to pull me up. Yes my daughter has one of those, very deep, very low, very smart but it for me. Not surprised that you have a bad back, I recommend a nice warm bath.

  • Love your reply magpuss , Agree totally ,,,look good ,,, and that's it ,,,but They love it ,think I'll sit on the dinning chair next time ,haha , ,,

  • bjmos hope your friend is doing better. I have had pneumonia several times this year and it is hard to get rid of it. I have had a rough week so far breathing is hard due to humidity. I am learning a lot from all of you. Thank you,

  • Thankyou ,I hope you are soon feeling much better ,we all seem to learn more on here that at the health centres haha ,I went to visit her Wednesday and gave her a shower ,my friend ( she's a hairdresser) dried her hair and I gave to say she looked 50 % better than when we arrived , like you over the years I've had pneumonia many times even though I've had the vaccine,,it takes months to recover ,,she has had a lung biopsy ,,,and she keeps saying they told her she's got lesions ??? I can't help her with that one ,

  • Excuse all the pretext
