Just 1 week post op and getting used to SOB and weird feelings created by neuropathic issues. Plus neurosis of thinking every twinge meals something bad!!!! Ha ha. Just decided to join here insteD of continual google searches might get me back to reality and focused

A good move. People here are brilliant, friendly and supportive. But... Errr... Can you explain please a little bit more about your operation? Is it lung volume reduction surgery and did you have emphysema?

Hi it all happened quite quickly I had a pneumothorax which would not resolve and then surgery within 4 weeks. The thoracic/respiratory team think it was due to emphasyma but I have no diagnosis as yet I have out patient follow up etc in 2weeks. This forum is brilliant the health teams are great but very comforting to get advice and to be able to raise questions on this page
