Throat cancer

I have just been diagnosed with throat cancer and I am concerned that the radiotherapy treatment has side effects that can be so painful that a feeding tube will be necessary, so how am I going to manage the inhalers for my COPD. Also I use a CPAP machine at night, will this also be too painful to use?

Has anyone any experience of this.

Hello Eve, I am so sorry about your diagnosis. I don't have any experience with this other than my grandfather had it when I was a child. He lived for almost two decades post diagnosis. I am sure someone with knowledge will help you put with your questions shortly. Sending you light and love.

Hi Eve I am now into 6 months after I had radiotherapy for throat cancer I had to have twenty sessions I notice it's 8 months since your post and was wondering how you have got on after treatment xx
