Hi

Ask your GP to refer to the hospital consultant for further test a assessment.

Are you under the respitory team at hospital a referral to them will assess the right medication and secondary treatment.

Have you be referred for pulmonary rehablitation?

Good advice from Stone. You may also want to ring the BLF helpline and talk to their staff.

03000 030 555 - during office hours.

Hello Lucky.

I think Stone has made a very got point. I think pulmonary rehabilitation really helps some of us too.

The more support you get the more control you feel you have. Please do come here often. It really helps.

Sending you love and light.

If it's affecting your work too, you ought to see an occupational health person....there may be one at your employment. Ask at Human Resources or talk to your boss.

Also, try and get an appointment with the COPD team or with a respiratory nurse in your GP practice. The specialist nurses actually often know more than the doctors and can explain it all, and reassure you.

Hope this helps

Welcome to the site, Lucky. You don't give us much information. What stage copd? Are you using any inhalers? If you look at older posts, you'll see some pretty amazing people. Still going strong after many yrs. with copd. With the right medications and pulmonary rehab, I'm sure you will to. 😊 Rubyxx

Moving a tree! Please don't do that again. Know your limitations and take care of yourself. Its hard I know when you can't do what you used to do, but hopefully getting the right a dvice and treatment will allow you to live a good life. Iris x

Sorry to hear about your present difficulties but being anxious and not sleeping is just not going to help your condition. Perhaps you might try some relaxation techniques such as Headspace which you can download for free initially. Your COPD team should be helping you with these difficulties and I don't wonder that anyone would find moving a tree a huge effort and totally draining with or without COPD.

Just make sure you have all the right meds and advice from your GP and you will soon be back in the driving seat. I have had COPD since I retired 7 years ago and Asthma since childhood but I am better now than I have ever been due to wonderful care from my Practice Nurse and learning to take control of my conditions.

Do hope you get sorted soon.
