In reply to the lady with both copd and osteoarthritis in both hips. I too suffer with both these unpleasant problems. I do know that to keep mobile is of uttmost importance. Can I suggest walking in water. You will be exercising in a gentle weightless way and after a few weeks, your hips can be pain free and enable you to carry on walking easier. I hope this works for you.

This sounds wonderful, and I too wish you both well
The idea is brilliant, may need a little tweaking to acheive but water activities in a gentle way are good for both COPD and Arthritis. Some people need assistance to acheive these things as water can result in slips. But good luck to you if you can do this, some hospitals have programs nowadays for this sort of health activity Best wishes xx
