I just doing my research on Albuterol inhaler. For me, I notice that Pro-air works better for me for quick relief. Please share your experience on your situation. If there any other inhaler that works better, please let me know.

Hi sagittar. I've only been prescribed Ventolin so can't compare. It does make a difference, noticeable even when I'm singing. Hopefully someone will be along soon who will be able to answer your question.

Ditto I only have ventolin to and serertide and Ekllra Genuair recently the latter been a god send , it took one of nebules away the improtrium bromide not sure if spelt correctly !

Apparently the nebule for nebuliser was only short acting the new inhaler works for longer it really helps ! Going see your respiratory nurse helps she changed this inhaler , they have more info on products and we cansonetines end up using our old prescription meds when new ones have come on the market . I'm very grateful for there help

Albuterol in USA = Salbutomol (one brand name is Ventolin) in Europe.

Since being diagbosed with COPD, I have had several different types of inhalers. The only one that is used for sudden shortage of breath is Ventolin. Must be good, it has been around for years.

The reason I asked this question is because I read that Pro-Air Albuterol contains ethanol and ventolin does not. I guess ethanol is not good for the lungs. Then I found out that Qvar also contains ethanol, and that what I use for maintenance.....yikes. Any comments will be helpful.
