I'm scared to but glad perhaps now I will get more help and support which I don't think I've been getting from my doctors .

Try not to be scared, because the physios will only work you within your own limits - you're not in competition with anyone, and can only "fail" if you're ill with an infection or other illness. It may feel uncomfortable because you will get breathless but you soon learn that it's OK

You will find it beneficial, will learn a lot about managing your condition and have opportunities to ask questions

I think it saved my life when I had my first course 6 years ago, and have been on a course each year since

Good luck

Just say 20 June on letter at 9am doesn't say much more ,hope u heer soon so u can move forward too x

Hi you should find that with the talks given by the respiratory nurse a lot of your questions will be answered. At my PR group we also had a psychologist and an exercise expert. Occasionally we would have a guest speaker too. Good luck with it. x

Hi,

I had assessment 5 weeks ago & start breathing/exercise classes on Monday (about 6 week course I think) - that is Sussex area - probably different everywhere but time scale was one of the 1st things I asked at the assessment. I will let you know how it goes along. x Jean

Is the wait for PR different around the UK? I have been waiting 18 months. Had an acknowledgement of the application. I could really do with some help with how to exercise and cope with SOB. Any ideas?

That's shocking to wait that long,u should talk to jp and ask why it's taking so long ,everyone deserves to breath ,maybe have a look online for some tip to help in meen time x
