Himself is being exceptionally irritating recently...he suddenly decided we need a new 'fridge...said the one we have doesn't work properly anymore...I pointed out that if he didn't keep fiddling with the temp.dial it'd be grand...if he didn't put a lettuce on the top shelf where it freezes to death, instead of in the salad drawer...so named because it's for salads...and if left-over chicken wasn't put on the bottom , it wouldn't be smelling nasty after only a day...
It's not so much the fault of the 'fridge...
Anyway he went off into town and bought another one from the little electrical shop...Gerry will deliver it as he comes home 'cos we are on his way...
I kept quiet.
What's made it worse is that the new thing is apparently exactly the same model as the old one...
I might paint it bright pink.
Once I'd curbed my over-whelming enthusiasm at the thought of a new 'fridge, I pointed out that I thought we were planning on a new sink unit actually...bearing in mind the existing one is pretty gross...
'Oh yes, he says...I wait with bated breath but nothing else is forthcoming and it dawns on me that of course the sink unit will probably need to be plumbed in...plumbers mean extra cash...silly me.
Remember the counter top oven? That was for me. Caught him yesterday evening putting his sausages in the gas oven...
Whyever aren't you using the new oven...I don't want it to get greasy, he said...you'll need that oven...in the future.
For heaven's sakes...get the violins out why don't we.
Never mind...when Teresa's here in a couple of weeks we can eye-roll together.
