Bobby And The Vet...

Apparently it's not uncommon for older dogs to have an epileptic seizure or fit...Suzy could do reams of tests but she says she's unwillingly to do that unless Bobby has more fits...if he does, to take him back and she'll keep him there for a few days while she investigates further...

Bobby has always loved going to the vets, so he didn't mind in the slightest when she listened to his heart and felt him all over...

He does seem a little brighter today, though that could have been the treat of going out in the car...don't usually take him in the car because his bottom burps are totally offensive...have to drive in the pouring rain with all the windows down just to be able to breathe...and that's Himself...not me.

That's the story so far...thank you for your well wishes and comments, they've been very much appreciated...

Hi Vashti

Missed a few days of posts so I hope you are starting to feel better now and that Bobby continues to recover. Perhaps you and himself should invest in a couple of gas marks and take him out for a couple more rides. Thinking about it get one for me as well I am already fed up with my hayfever.

Sounds like you have one of the best Vets. I'm pleased he seems a bit brighter today. I hope you are still improving yourself.

Pleased Bobby is brighter today Vashti. I made your salmon fish cakes for dinner, my dearly beloved said they were delicious, I thought so to. One bonus of having a gas cooker when on oxy is he had to cook them! Xx

Pleased Bobby is a bit better today. Dogs do so love to be out to different places. Shame about the bottom burps; maybe a couple of masks as bayleyray suggested. Possibly one for Mollie? X

Our old dog Holly had fits when she was 18. We went straight to the vet when she had the first one. She was prescribed tubes of medication to squirt up her bum when the fit began. One of us would hold her gently and talk to her, until she came round. She would be confused for a while after. I can't remember how many fits she had but the medication definitely helped.

I think I'd rather have the fits.
