Hi

It is how you are affected in relation to your mobility and care needs, contact yor local C.A.B office to assist in completing the form. A copy of forms PIP1 and PIP2 can be downloaded from the website which will help you complete the final form.

Hi, you need to be aged between 16 & 64 have a long-term health condition or disability and difficulties with activities related to ‘daily living’ and / or mobility. 🌷

There are usually disability helplines you can contact too and if you are unable to travel to them they can come out and help you fill the form in.  x

If you're over 65 you can, I think, claim attendance allowance which is similar to PIP in some ways. However, it may be that new claimants are automatically transferred to PIP now as the government is moving some over 65s across to PIP from DLA.  There is a web site which explains all allowances people with disabilities are entitled to at certain ages, but I can't remember its title.  Try searching for "benefits UK" in Google

If your daily living activities are affected by your condition then you should apply.  Good luck!

Commisertions l have similar problems after 2 valve jobs and Copd so one can ease matters by drinking hot water throughout the day can help with pumps and a cough medicine ex Tescos 1.50 p per bottle can also assist. Anybody else with ideas as there doesn't seem to be a lot of other support around

I know this may sound silly but have you tried ringing MacMillan they can be very helpful, they sorted all my attendance allowance out, I am 73 years old with terminal lung cancer but am undergoing treatment ie. Chemo etc. give them a try .

Best of luck Hilde
