Hi have you asked to go to pulmonary rehabilitation? I've been twice before and was supposed to start this week but had to put it off due to low sats. They give loads of information and leaflets that help you also copd nurse team can help xx

Hi welcome to the group. Look on the BLF website you will get a lot of information there take care

Hello Eric, you have arrived at the right place for help and advice.  Have you recently been diagnosed?  What stage are you at? What medication are you on? If you will give us a little more information we can perhaps help you.

Jennifer

p.s. make sure when you write back that you have ticked "Community" - this just keeps it within Health Unlocked.

Hello and welcome.

You'll find everything you need here, already been given perfect advice. Stop smoking if you do, eat healthily and exercise so PR is a good idea. you might want to look on youtube for breathing exercises they help. Any questions, your feeling down or just need a rant, we're always here.

Hi Eric welcome.

My coping strategy is to always look on the bright side. I know it may seem rather crass, simplistic or easy to say but thats the only wy i can cope. Quietly i moan to myself but openly i am all smiles. Even the the simplistic of tasks make me so sob. There is no easy answer in my mind but you will do okay with good family and friends to help you through bad days. Good luck and keep tuned into this excellent site

Hi Eric and welcome, you have already been given good advice, which I can't add to, except maybe scrolling through old posts, it's amazing what info you can collect!

HI Eric, good advice already given especially the stopping smoking, Exercise helps with your lung function so that helps with everything else too. I find the pursed lip breathing particularly helpful when you are short of breath so check the breathing exercises out too, oh and welcome , make yourself at home xx

Welcome Eric.  Going on to this site has helped me so much.  It is the feeling that you are not alone with this illness and there is always someone who will 'listen' to you.  Possibly none of us will ever meet, but we all become friends.  Keep going.

Best wishes

Ann
