Just been diagnosed with mild COPD at the age off 44, haven't smoked for nearly 11 years and run between 3-4 mile three times a week, also walk and short cycle rides on the school run, is it liable to progress or stay the same please? Get different answers from different doctors and nurses and not much info😕

Hi Angie-9 Welcome to the group you are the second one who is 44 and joined today. When I was diagnosed I was told stoping smoking slows down the progression of COPD. Have you been referred to pulmonary rehab you can also see if there is o breathe easy group in your area go to BLF website they have a lot of information take care X

Chanel does it for me, someone at work wears it and it takes my breath away, just not in the right way lol!

That happens to me some times. When I am out some are really strong, I only spray a little on me. Not half the bottle like most people do. And it doesn't make me cough.

Judging by what you have told us Angie, your COPD will gradually progress but very slowly. Keep going as you are and you won't notice a lot of difference.

Good luck.

sometimes it takes many many yrs but as you have mild COPD & exercise it will hwlp enormously. I sniff Eucalyptus Oil last 6 mths & Chest Clinic Nurse said this week it helps to keep Airways open we need at least 3,000 calories due to using more calories breathing. Singing, deep breathing etc anything to keep Lungs operating
