When it all goes wrong I start to worry

Having one of those "is it all worth it" days! October: exacerbation closely followed by another in November. Sleep study arranged in December and sleep apnoea diagnosis in January. February got off to a good start, found a mask that sort of worked, CPAP doing the job and right up to yesterday all was good.

Woke this morning and just feel ... yuk! Head feels like it's done 10 rounds in the washing machine, chest like a perch for a Sumo wrestler, joints in need of some 3 in 1 oil and muscles have been punch bags for Mike Tyson!

And now work want me to travel 70 miles for a 15 minute meeting this afternoon with a client who is going to be "difficult" (as they always are).

Think I might just pull the duvet up and say stuff the client - alternative suggestions on a post card ...

I'd grab for the emergency meds but temperature is okay, lung function is registering slightly lower than my normal, SPo2 is at 94% and blood pressure is fine so all that suggests just a "bad day" - any thoughts?

Hope everyone else is enjoying the (UK) sunshine!

If I felt the way you describe it would definitely be a duvet day for me! Take care. xx

Hi y not

Some people would pull that duvet up

and say stuff it! I myself, would take some ibuprofen, grab a coffee and be on my way. Most times, once you get moving around ,you feel better. I also still work, and am glad that I can. Hope you have a good day.😊

Actually Ruby so would my husband - he is a great believer is getting on with it! Me on the other hand would definitely be under the duvet! xxx

Thanks all (I think!) Guess on the basis of your comments I'd better get a shower and start moving!

Like rubyred, I still work (full time) thanks to an understanding employer so I shouldn't take advantage of their good nature.

Client meeting here I come!

Did my 70 mile round trip, heaters on full, air con on full. Met the client (he wanted to be difficult so I pulled a rabbit out of the hat and said "something like this" (which was a presentation I'd used a few weeks earlier) and that destroyed his attitude!

He was more than happy when I left (which meant so was I), got home and in bed by 8. woke at 4 the next morning feeling fine so it seems the suggestions here were the right ones!

Thanks everyone and have a great weekend.
