Is this her first litter? You should take her to her Vet. He/she will want to check that all is well and keep an eye on her throughout her pregnancy. I hope she will be ok. She will be hungry and thirsty - ours always were - extra love too!

Yes she do eat but not to much and drink but the only thing she dos is she likes to go in the corner under a self and sit or sleep on it sleep sitting up but if I got to get her it someone got to move the coffe table to get her

like Jennifer says get vet to give her a check over and ask them if she needs any thing else but if she is on a good quality complete food she should be getting the vitamins she needs ,

How wonderful for you, David! Looking forward to some photos. I agree with Jennifer and Malcolm. She should definitely pay a visit to the vet.

She is under the vet wensday just gone I had to pay £70.00 just for a cheque up and some cream for her eye but they do not tell you what food to give them as he just says give them what you think but not what we eat and only twice a day he's a good vet with animals

I can't help you with which vitamins you need to give your pregnant dog because I have never bred any of my dogs, they have all been spayed and neutered.

She should be eating top quality food. She must be taken to a vet. Pugs often cannot deliver naturally and need to have a C section. Please discuss this subject with your vet.

How old is she? Do you know which dog sired the pups?

in reply to

Yes as I only got one male pug she is going on two

If she's not yet 2yo she's too young to be bred. It would have been better to wait for her next season. Do both the sire and dam have pedigree papers?

I do hope you will take her to the vet. She will need to be xrayed to see how many pups she has in there and as she comes closer to term, an ultrasound. She will also probably need a C section. This breed has difficulty whelping naturally. When is she due?

in reply to

The very fact that she is sleeping sitting up means that she is uncomfortable. Take her to the Vets ......very important. We are all worried for you and her that she gets the right treatment. Brondana is so very right. Please take notice of her.

She is fine what they do is they start to sway and they fall asleep they all do it not just her it's just they think they are missing something that's why they do it it's like a human when he or she sit on a chair you dose off yes same thing with them as when you tell them bed they ether go to bed or they just sit there till they get something as the wife spoils them and they stay there till she gives them something

in reply to

I didn't know that David. Good luck with her I am sure between you and your Vet you will do everything necessary to keep her comfortable, eat a healthy diet for her and her pups and have a safe birth.

Keep us informed won't you:-)

About 30 days left

Yes both are pedigrees as he did it to her in the night when she first came in to season as he is very frisky we had to in the end put him a cage in the room we stay in as not to do it to the other two and a nother dog I got

in reply to

Well yes, when the female comes into season the male will pursue her unless you can keep them totally and securely separated. You know this if you've bred dogs before.

I had three of the German Shepherd breed before I changed my breed to Rottweilers. I rescued both breeds but mainly Rottweilers (only one German Shepherd). Then due to my increasing age I changed to a small breed and still have Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Boy is neutered and girl is spayed.

I hope it all goes well for her, she's about half way along now then. Please keep us informed about her.

I just read your reply that you have taken her to the vet. Excellent.

She will need to be monitored throughout her pregnancy so it will cost you money in vet fees. Dog breeding is not as lucrative as many people think. Vet fees are expensive.

Please feed her top quality food. You won't get it in the supermarket. I feed my dogs a fresh raw diet. I don't breed, I have well bred dogs and my COPD has put an end to me continuing to do dog rescue.

Yes I know it is the first time for me to breed small dog I use to big ones Alsatians which I have had for many a moons but thes small ones ar diffrant to breed but now they are hower baby's even though they have rewand a £2000 suite ect but that is something when they get older they stop yes she do go every week for her cheque up or if I think something wronge with her as Alsatians you breed them more easy than pugs so learning as it is never to late

Hi, like Brondana says, she might need a c-section due to her head size, or she might deliver normal, just depends on the length of the labou and if she starts to struggle. Once the pups are here, she will need to eat nearly double what she is having now, plenty of high protein, fats and veg, in order for her to feed the pups. Good luck with her and I can't wait to see the photos Marie
