I know you have to be very careful to avoid chicken pox and shingles if your on steroids, prednisolone etc.

Hi violet, if you read the list supplied with the steroid tablets I think it will tell you about chicken pox and what to do if in contact with it on that.

Hi Violet

I should go and see your GP. I don't want to worry you but sometimes,

even if you had chickenpox as a child, the virus can lay dormant in your body for years.

It can cause shingles later in life if you come into contact with chickenpox.

I think the most infectious time is when the spots are still inflamed and runny.

I do hope you are ok, we maybe worrying over nothing

Hi Violet, good advice here and seems like you should definitely be careful. I used to think if you'd had shingles you were safe but now I'm told you can get it more then once.

Iv never had chicken pox as a child but iv made the earliest app I could get for tomorrow morning . But iv also been told that I'm unlikely to develop shingles as it would have happened by now so still not sure . No doubt my doc will put me right. Thanku for all the people that replyed to my question

Just to give u a update. A nurse told me it's fine to be round my granddaughter so I went to visit her, I came back and my doctor phoned me and said I should stay away from her for 5 days lol . So I'm now staying away pffft . So fingers crossed all will be well ehh
