Hello. A bit worried just been diagnosed with Copd early stage I think. Still awaiting spirometer test. Still active in my 70s but get tired more easily when I do stairs or walk on incline. Have an inhaler but not sure when to use. Anyway nice to know there's a community out there. Glad to become a member.

Hi Julie and welcome to the site.

It does seem unusually quiet on here at the moment I guess many are getting ready to party tonight. LOL it is amazing at what some people do despite their copd.

It is a little diffucult to be specific with advice as we are mainly patients not medically trained and there are many inhalers out there.

All I can say is I take 2 puffs am and pm everyday as a prevent or and my blue inhaler before I do anything that could cause breathlessNess. Like before walking the dog.

I am sure once the festivities are over you will get more advice.

Take care Julie

Just ask away if you have any doubts or questions. Always happy to help.

And HAPPY NEW YEAR I just had to shout that out

Hi I emphasise with you. I am only in the early stages but the things I find most difficult are hills and steps. This is very common even in mild copd I'm afraid. Don't forget that as you age your lung function does naturally decline a bit as well so some of it could be down to that.

Oh nice to meet you and welcome to the site Julie. x

Hi Julie and welcome to the forum. I can't advise on your inhalers as I'm not very knowledgeable about meds but, I will say if your in the mild stage and still active in your 70's, things look very good for you.

We're a friendly bunch, so, stick with us, you won't regret it.

Happy new year xx
