I stopped smoking last January for the next 6 months was constantly visiting doctor kept coughing trouble breathing loads of antibiotics that didnt help. July I couldnt get in to see doctor so I saw nurse who did spirometry test turns out I had ashma since then no coughing no breathlessness if only id have saw nurse earlier .

When I stop smoking I stopped coughing and haven't coughed since...that was 5 months ago.
Stay of the cigs is by far the best thing you can do to help your asthma.
I have asthma and COPD fev1is 73%.
