Hi becraftygirl, I have an aerosure medic. I have bronchiectasis and find that the slow speed is very good for loosening the gunk. I believe that some people with COPD find it useful to help with breathing. Hopefully someone will be along to tell you. I think I paid about £125 for it direct from the company which makes it. I filled in a form to say that I needed it for my medical condition and they sent the VAT back. I hope that helps.
thank u so much for your reply many thks
Name of company please.
Hi
If you choose to buy one.
Go to.
You get the VAT free, genuine product.
My son (9) has used one for about a year now and it's really helped him when he's breathless. When he's chesty / got a cold, he uses the other setting to helps loosen the gunk on his chest.
Hi becraftygirl I have been using aerosure medic now for about 8 months I have COPD I feel as if it helps to exercise my lungs and I am sure it has helped me I too brought it from the web site for £125, I feel it has been well worth the money and I use it on the fast setting 5 minutes in the morning and 5 minutes at night is what is on the instructions but sometime I do it for longer as I feel my breathing easing if I am slightly breathless when I start I do recommend it.
Hi Shirley,
Seems I don't agree with the other replies - sorry!
I had one and found it useless. It's just another overpriced flutter device. There are much cheaper ones on the market if you think that type of thing may help you. Alternatively, look on Ebay - that's where I sold mine XX
I would suggest huffing technique first that is free

The device I bought is exactly the same, approved by NHS and costs a staggering....£34....I can down load more test result sheets from Exeter Hospital and several others and I bought it VAT free. The problem with them is that when you have progresesd through the exercises, they are of no further use for a while....until your next infection has cleared up...and it's generally explained that you should not over exert your lungs for 6 to 8 weeks after and infection.
