Peeping Over The Parapet...

We have all we need...food on the table and warmth when it's cold...enough clothes and hot water and a loo that flushes.

We have good neighbours and a reliable car and just enough money to spare for hobbies...

There are our pets...the kittens who snuggle up and purr in my ear at night...the dogs Himself enjoys walking every day...the donkeys, who are kindly and gentle.

We have the internet to entertain and to teach new skills...and who has given us on-line friends from all over the world.

There is the Atlantic ocean not so far away...Goldfinches who come to the feeders and wild Orchids growing in profusion every Spring...

We have warm and comfortable beds...books to read and music to listen to...

How dreadfully sad and lonely must those people be who come here to pick and find fault...how shallow their lives seem.

They are to be pitied I think...

Vashti I couldn't agree with you more, perhaps they don't understand the spirit of community and just can't get along with people x

I too pity such folk, Vashti. People with poor self esteem can use putting others down as a means of feeling better about themselves. Trouble being that the rush they get is short lived and then they look for other victims. Let's hope this period dies down quickly.

What you have to remember Vashti is........those "people" are not "quite the ticket" so to speak, so they're not able to enjoy all the lovely things that us normal living folk do!

Sad really...poor souls :-( Lol

Totally agree, Vashti

Perhaps some of these people should experience life in a war zone or join those poor fleeing migrants?

Take care

Agree 100% Vashti - we live in a wonderful world, enjoy privileges our forbears could never have dreamed of but, sadly, the old lines always comes to mind "Where every prospect pleases and only man is vile". We have done dreadful things to our planet that we cannot control, but we can control our own attitudes.
