Right that's it, they are coming to me.

Daughter and partner drove me down to meet son wife, and adorable youngest Grandchild this morning. Very nice you would think, but oh no the venue they chose was to me like walking a bloody marathon! I could feel all eyes thinking is she ok, sometimes, just sometimes this fecking copd does get to me. That adventure was followed with a gorgeous lunch at my stepsons, again a b marathon from car to house. It was wonderful to see my son daughter, both stepsons and the five youngest Grandchildren all in one day. But it is absolute bliss to be home in recliner complete with oxy! Hope you have all had a good weekend, and those that haven't I hope next week is better for you. Xx

know just how you feel - I treated my cousin to dinner out recently to thank her for all her kindness to me but had to walk through the restaurant to our table and had to do it slowly and stop and rest holding onto tables on the way - am sure people thought I was drunk and that was before I'd even sat down - was even worse leaving as then I was a bit squiffy ha,ha - anyway put your feet up and enjoy at home was my first time out for months and doubt I'll be doing it again for another few months xx

You would benefit from having a wheelchair!  It seemed a big step to me but opened up a new life.  You will stop worrying about how to get from car to venue, and arriving sweaty and panicky, and will allow you to visit places you think are out of bounds.

Do you not take oxygen bottles with you. You can get them in a little trolley and I had to sucumbe to a wheelchair some days Consultants idea. It does help especially trying to get up the big hills. Check with the respiratory clinic about oxygen sure if you are on 1 a day on your container you can have the pull along one which sure the grandchildren will.love helping nanny to do. Surprised that didn't suggest you take oxygen bottle out and about with you. You still get a few looks but you get used to them.good luck.
