Flu jab

I went into the dr's to collect more antibiotics and ended up with a flu jab too. I was confused as I had seen another Dr and nurse this week and both said I couldn't have it until I was better. i still have a chest infection and am on antibiotics. Should I be worried?

you don't normally get it if you have an infection and you normally have to be finished with anti biotics for about 10 days,

Hi, that's what I thought and questioned the dr, but he said if I didn't have a temperature it was fine. Funny thing was I wasn't even booked in. He had a box full on his desk and so out I came injected. Thank you for the reply.

hopefully the antibiotics will soon clear the infection up , are you on corse of steroids too I just finished with chest infection and a cold , a nurse said a lot of people have complained after having this years jab of a head ache and feeling bit rough on day of jab but felt better the next day so if you get that you will know its normal

Most drs. won't give you flu jab when your sick. The one year I did get it, I seem to get sicker. Maybe you've got enough antibiotics in you, you'll be okay with it. Hope you feel better soon. Let us know how your doing.

hi, I do have another question for you guys. I was unwell from Dec-July with constant infections. As a result consultants and doctors all did Their best to help. However, I ended up on so much medication including steroids. (Lots of them) side effects lumps in my neck, fat face, furry face, lumps on my wrists, shoulder, weight gain and a feeling of fluid. I'm off them at the moment, but I the side effects won't go. I'm the only person who walks, goes to the gym and still looks big. Normally I'm a size 10, But people are walking past me not recognising me. Anyone had this and could give me some advice. Had scans, X Ray's nothing shows up, but they can see and feel them. if anyone else has experienced this I would love some advice. Thankss for the other replies, I never knew this forum existed until yesterday. 😃

I went to my gp's flu jab clinic today..the only question I was asked was my name! No questions as to my recent health, why I was having the jab, no advice given as to after effects .... just name, waiting room, called in, which arm, jabbed & out!.... no after effects yet though, so all good

I thought that if you are on abs etc., they wouldn't give you the flu jab because the abs would counteract it?!

I had my jab 10 days ago and not even a sore arm, so no prob's there.
