What is wrong with my wife.

Hi,My wife has been in hospital three times this year once via ambulance & the other times taken on doctors advise.Each time she was sent home as they could not find any answers to her problems.She is 73yrs old,her kidney function at one time was down to 27% which they put down to a kidney infection,she is going hot & cold all day & night,not sleeping well,heart pounding,no energy,pains all over her,not eating,baulking,at one time she was on two sticks.She was diagnosed with fybromyalgia at one time a few years back.One doctor thought it maybe Mastocytosis but blood results said no,we had the doctor out twice last week & one said we do not at the moment know what it is maybe acute fatigue syndrome,she has had heart scans,MRI full body scan,you name it she has had it.Some days like the last couple she is not as bad,but then she will have a relapse.My daughter has the same symptoms.

Can't really help. The only thing that leapt out at me from your account was the fibromyalgia. Is it an autoimmune disease? And why has a recurrent flare up of that condition been ruled out by doctors? I do so sympathise about the nightmare of having a condition that baffles doctors. Chronic fatigue syndrome is another tricky one with still a lot of misunderstandings around it.

Possibly worth looking at CFS or ME....

The only other thing you need to iron out is - has the gas boiler been looked at recently? Carbon monoxide can cause weird symptoms and you mentioned your daughter has same symptoms.

Thanks for your reply bevvy.New gas boiler just fitted & daughter lives two miles away.Wife today has been having hot & cold sweets,pains all over,been baulking this morning.I think there maybe a genetic problem,or some thing to do with smoking as both where smokers except my youngest who did not,she has vit B injections as well as the others.My two sons have not got the same problems.
