My fev1 is 69 and Sp02 is 95-98 at rest.

My fev1 is 69 and Sp02 is 95-98 at rest. I can get up and walk up and down 2 flights of stairs with my Sp02 staying the same or rising. I do not get breathless. When I sit, it drops to about 90 and slowly rises to 98-99. Am I hypoxic? I'm certainly confused. Thanks :-)

cant help but some one on here will sats and fev1 is good going wish I could get up one fight of stairs with out being breathless lol but does seem strange how sats drop when you sit down to start with

Thanks for your reply. I don't know at this point if I'm concerned or simply want an answer from an academic point of view. :-)

Think you mean SpO2 ?

90% is a bit low, but briefly dipping into the mid-80s following exertion would be nothing to worry about.

Below 80%, inadequate tissue oxygenation for normal functioning.

Below 70%, immediate treatment else tissue damage --> death.

Forced Expiry Volume in 1 second (part of spirometery test, tester can be bought amazon) and oxygen saturation percentage otherwise known as 'sats'... measured with a pulse oximeter which you can get from amazon/ebay etc.
