HAPPY WEEKEND TO YOU ALL 😊

Sunny Saturday here but not so hot that it's unbearable.

I was wondering how you all cope with cooking so you aren't exhausted and out of breath by the time it's done.

I live in a very small flat and find that whenever I put my oven on the place is like a green-house.

So I get around this by using my slow-cooker instead. Chuck every thing in when I get up, and it does its magic with out me keep standing there outta breath, and doesn't heat up my whole flat, saves on electric too- happy days 😊

Have you any other handy ideas when it comes to cooking?

Hi besides my m and s food I love my slow cooker especially in the winter as you say just throw everything in

Hi,with living in a warm climate, the oven is a definite no no! Slow cooker is a great idea. The other is to use the BBQ, grilling etc can be done outside.

Sorry, just realised you live in a flat, silly me! Or is there outside space that you can use?

The other idea,is do you own a pressure cooker? They cook anything very quickly.

Failing that, what about buying cooked chooks etc.& just making your own salads etc.up with it?

Happy cooking,

Wen xx

I have trouble with the cooker because of my oxygen, I have to take it off in the hall then go into the kitchen and put the stuff in the oven and keep repeating that each time I have to open the oven door, it is really tiring.

I have been buying lots of ready meals not Wiltshire Farm foods don't like them I have been getting some from Tesco their Finest range

Belly Pork

Chicken Chasseur

Beef Chianti

Beef Bourginon

Dauphinous potatoes, Cornish Mash and Cheddar mash and veg that can be done in the microwave.

We also have a butcher who cooks and freezes hearty meals they are delish.

I have weighed myself today and I have put about 5lbs on I am delighted I have been trying for a long time.

take care

The slow cooker sounds like a great idea veganista. I do all the cooking as Pete just can't manage that anymore. He actually used to be a chef many years ago. In the hot weather I try and keep cooking to a minimum and rely on salads or microwaved foods. It has been lovely here today but is not meant to be so hot tomorrow. xxxx
