The British Lung Foundation and Academic Health Science Network for North East and North Cumbria are holding a Meet the Experts conference for people affected by lung disease at Newcastle United F. C., St James's Park, Newcastle upon Tyne on Friday 18th September 2015.

Join us for a friendly and informative day, chaired by Dr Paul Netts, Respiratory Lead Newcastle Gateshead Clinical Commissioning Group and Professor Paul Corris, Professor of Thoracic Medicine at Newcastle University. You'll hear from expert speakers about the importance of an early and accurate diagnosis, how to get your voice heard, the role of telehealth and practical advice on managing conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and bronchiectasis. Information stands will include oxygen equipment, inhalers, pulmonary rehabilitation and keeping active, and BLF support.

We don't have any plans at the moment but I'll let my colleagues in Wales know that you're interested and if they do have events in the future, to post them on here.

This looks very interesting and is close by. My consultant is in Newcastle. I am not sure it would be of benefit to me though - feel like I am to far down the road.

Edited to add I have booked a place. I think it will be interesting
