Type " holiday insurance " in the search box. There are quite a few posts about it.

Some do recommend companies they've used.

Hi, you could put 'insurance' in the search bar above & hopefully all the past posts & replies will come up.

Try Avanti.

I tried medicaltravelcompared.co.uk... . The quotes varied from £73 to over £300 for exactly the same conditions. I have 5 conditions( including Breast cancer, kidney infection, pulmonary fibrosis) and my husband 3. in the end went with Avanti. About £175. Although not the cheapest They seem to give better and higher cover for things like cancellation and medical care. I do think it depends on how recently you've been hospitalised, diagnosed, treated etc and how you respond to the questions about your conditions. It's important to be absolutely honest otherwise it can be invalidated. The quote was for 2 weeks (Europe) all the questions seem to be pretty standard across all the insurance companies and you can do it online. Cruising is more expensive because of the cost of airlifting to a mainland hospital. Hope this helps and you get something reasonably priced. It's so disheartening to get a "sorry we can't cover you" response but I could never contemplate going without insurance. Too risky! Xx

thankyou for your help but we are still getting quotes of £1000, so its back to the drawing board

Have you tried calling the insurance company? I believe Avanti are quite helpful on the phone. Sometimes it's tricky to know how to answer a question online. It's a tedious business trying to get insurance and not what we need when we've health stuff to contend with as well. I sympathise

Best I have found is Staysure if you have insurance through your Bank account it will not cover you if you have a pre-existing condition.

We've been having the same problem and have found

Free Spirit

freespirittravelinsurance.com

very good annual cover for less than £300.00.

Just been online for a quote from Free Spirit and for a single journey in May they want £750+.  Told them to scrap all my details, not interested and not taking it any further.  It is because I am on oxygen, that is the only reason.  So be warned, if you are on oxygen.
