Mouth Breather

When I was assessed for my oxygen, I was told that as I was a mouth breather a conserver for the bottle would not be much use................... but my rep nurse gave me a trial and now I have one of my own........... brilliant, they can extend the life of a bottle up to three times...........so insist on a trial!

Mind over matter Billie, I was embarrassed at first but not now.................

That's good ! Hopefully it will get easier over time and that the benefits of being on it outweigh the negatives.

Thanks for that post Romfty. As a fellow mouth breather I shall be asking my Res Nurse when she visits next.

Regards Rib.

It all seems to be about asking the right people at the right time!

I show good enough O2 at rest but drop like a stone on exercise or exertion. But have not been assessed for O2? Even though PR have stated I am exercise intolerant and will not take me into their course?

One of my Consultants at AC watched me go from my chair to the bay for ECG testing and commented on how much of a difference a short walk made to me, he stated that my at rest stats should not be taken as my norm!

I do feel that if I could have some O2 when I do things like mow the lawn etc. it would make my life so much better?

Be Well

How do you manage mowing the lawn? I am moderate and have a terrible time trying to do the lawn and most times don't make it through.

Thank you

I am now lucky that our lawn is not very big at all and very flat. But at the bottom we have a raised bed that acts very well as a seat when I need to get my breath back. At the other end we have the patio set. So 6 lengths and it is done.

Thanks

I guess I better get off my butt and get back at it which will make my wife happy.

I don't think I could mow a lawn without O2 now, but luckily several years ago I landscaped the front and back to make them virtually maintenance free, maybe something inside me saw this coming?.
