First before I leave you all with a poem in style of Jimmy, I just never knew how three lots of pneumonia plus umpteen chest infections could take it out of a person as it did me but hey ho me is here and finding it hard to get on top each day I wake up and thank God for another day.
THE PASTORS ASS
The pastor entered his donkey in a race and it won. The pastor was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again, and it won again. The local paper read PASTORS ASS OUT IN FRONT. The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the pastor not to enter the donkey in another race.
The next day the papers read BISHOP SCRATCHES PASTORS ASS. This was too much for the Bishop so he ordered the pastor to get rid of the donkey.
The pastor gave the donkey to a nearby Convent. The local hearing of the news printed the headline the next day NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN. The Bishop fainted. He ordered the nun that she would have to get rid of the donkey so she sold him to a farmer for $10 and the next day the paper headline read NUN SELLS ASS FOR $10 this was to much for the Bishop so he ordered the nun to buy it back again and lead it to the plains where it could run wild . The headlines the next day read NUN ANNOUNCES HER ASS IS WILD AND FREE!. The Bishop was buried the next day.
The moral of the story is...being concerned by public opinion can bring you much grief and misery..... even shorten your life. So be yourself and enjoy life.
Stop worrying about every one else's ass and you will be a lot happier.
Enjoy and good luck everyone hope many of you are doing well.
Too true Ant. Sorry to read that you have not been doing well but hope things are on the up for you now. Always good to hear from you whenever you feel up to it. Take care and wishing you well. xxxxx
Very true Ant. I always feel sorry for those who go on about others in life having more than them, or fret about scammers on benefits etc. If they looked after their own ass instead of stressing over others they would be a lot happier and nicer people.
Glad to see you are feeling a bit better now Ant. You have been through an awful lot so you must take it easy and do what the doctor orders. Hugs xx
Hi Anthony, I'm sorry that you have been having such a struggle. Having lost three friends this month (none with lung disease) I realise that opening our eyes to the daylight, however difficult, is a blessing indeed. I hope things pick up for you now. Thanks for the story. Only too true.
Its good to see you back ant and even though your not at you best the humor is still there, gave me a laugh this morning so thanks for that.
Keep fighting ant and you will get on top, I'll order you some sunshine and fresh air which should go some way to putting things right.
Your obviously made of strong stuff but getting over that hat trick of pneumonia's and other stuff would take even an athlete like me some time to get over.
