following in Fred's footsteps, a musical heading. so whatever you're going to do, you've got a lovely day to do it in! that's true!

I've just put on a beef casserole, bit out of season but some veg needed using up and its Tony' s favourite meal. bonus is there will be enough for tomorrow so easy lunch.

A farmer and his wife are preparing for their anniversary dinner. the wife says, 'Should I go out and kill a chicken?' the husband replies, 'Why blame a bird for something that happened twenty years ago?'. Iris x

the summer pots are coming along nicely.

thanks Tadaw, its a climbing rose called "Nice Day" and it only grows to that height, so Ok in that position. Very reliable if you are shopping for a rose! iris x

Hi Jimmy, glad you liked the joke. Casserole was smashing, Tescos finest slow cooked beef is very tender and as we dont enjoy steaks any more this is what we like best. Easy way to get some vegetables too. Little and good for us nowadays. Tony is 85, and cuts the grass and keeps everything tidy. Hope you are OK. Love Iris x

I love garden centres, but as we dont drive anymore I have to be content with our market, which is excellent and I buy far too many plants! Hope you find something nice. Love Iris x

My roses have decided to bloom.

I kill th turkey almost every day. They say there's more protein in it than beef! Beef's not bad though, Mic

I've not appeared because I feel so very well. NO other news than prcticing the flute and going to the gym!
