hi I just finished pulmonary rehab last week. its normally 2 sessions a week for 8 weeks. its mixture of education and exercise. they gradually build up the exercise each time you go, as you will find out each session you will manage a little more. you do get a lot out of it plus your meeting other people with similar conditions.

Welcome to the forum.

PR is the best thing you can do feels impossible when you start, but the nurses will only allow you to do what your capable of and it will help. Keeping active is important as well as eating well and taking your medication.

I have be to pulmonary rehab twice now at Harefield hospital, normally it about 12 people in a group 1 hour is exercise which they tailor to your needs as not Everyone there is a COPD sufferer, then one hour in the seminar room to have lectures on different things they will have question time at the end of each lecture, So if your not understanding anything about your illness you can ask. hope this helps you

I went to PR 2 yrs ago and it really was brilliant. You can participate at your own pace, which I found did improve over the 8 weeks!! The informational part is great and you will learn a lot about the condition, treatment, coping with sob and the answers to questions you had'nt even thought of.

It also helps a lot spending time with people who really do understand what it feels like.

Keep at it and good luck
