Hi, just back my my docs, had more or less a mini MOT. All stats are good and they are very pleased with my health. No change in my xray results since first being diagnosed nearly 5 years ago, this bad boy bullous emphysema is staying still... Said it's looking like it it won't progress since I've stopped smoking, exercising, eating well and changed my life style about. There is hope. David 1968

I bet you are over the moon with that result 1968. Mine is due next Tuesday and I'm dreading it. Last year, it was exactly the same, even though I had stopped smoking.

I'm much more aware of my breathlessness now so, I can't help but think it's a little worse. I have Fibro and excercising is difficult due to the pain in my legs.

I would be happy to go every two years myself, it's too stressful yearly.

Well done on your result though, I know you work hard at keeping fit. xx

Lots of luck with next Tuesday - my husband absolutely dreads his and it is such a nightmare. I agree completely stressful and I think the anxiety of going makes him even worse. Try to stay positive, lots of love TAD xxx

Mine's next month. No change in 4 years so here's hoping ! :)

I have had 2 spiro tests in 6 weeks in 2012 and it is only the hospital visits that just tell me "Sorry but that's all we can do for you now" and my GP's say "You just have live with it" I have had no other tests except from my A&E and Ambulatory Care? Maybe my GP's feel I do not need one as other people are looking after me?

Try change your doc, there is so much help and advice if you have a understanding supporting doc. Call the BLF help line, one of the nurses will support you with any questions you may have, ask away on here as well, we are all in the same boat so fire away with questions.

One of my son's is with us again for a period and he has registered with a doctors not far from us so will see what they do with him. But It seems that they have a very strange way of dealing with things and any one with multiply problems is to much for them to cope with!

As for the peeps on here I know they are a great bunch!
