Need a kick start this morning. ;)

Morning every body, my body really needs a wake up call this morning for some reason I am aching from (no I can't say that) backside to breakfast time, its not as if I did a lot yesterday just a little woodwork to box in some pipes etc under the stairs and then a couple of shelves to smarten it up, why! I say to myself as once the door is closed no body can see under there anyway, I don't know as they say A Boy and his Toys. Weather check for Devon yes its still here nothing to talk about so I wont. :).

This morning how about a few differences between a bloke and ?

A bloke and a blokes photo? the photo is fully developed.

Between a bloke and childbirth? One can be painful and sometimes unbearable while the other is only having a baby.

Between a bloke and a shopping trolley? Sometimes a shopping trolley has a mind of its own.

A bloke and a piece of cheese? Cheese matures.

Between a bloke and a pig? A pig doesn't turn into a bloke after a few pints of beer.

And so I am not one sided, whats the difference between a single women and a married women.?

Single women go home see whats in the fridge then go to bed. Married women go home see whats in the bed then go to the fridge.

Have a good day people I am not doing much today, later off to number one daughters as Granddaughter is cooking a Mexican meal for us today, she really is a good cook. Have a good day what ever you are doing, I have a feeling one of us will be out sitting taking photos of a mother swan and the little fluffs as she calls them, now who could that be.? :) ;) xxx Fred

Sorry to hear your so aching today, let's see if we can cheer you up back to your smiley happy self, the cold weather doesn't help much, need the sunshine, got yer long johns on,heating and relax feel the warmth going all over your body .It has been a stressfull few days for everyone, sit back and enjoy all life has to offer you, your a kind person so only good will be yours.Anyway changing the subject, the riots have started in London, the naughty part of me says yea bring it on ,let's see the cops on film 👿🔇📢📢❌👮🏿👮🏿 negativity is a waste of time. The humar in it is " they have a very difficult time ahead after the last gov. Completely ruined the country" never mind " cause n effect......a law of life. I'm in trouble again, shouted at the oxy nurses, and left quickly after feeling I had been lied to and fobbed off. Of course it's my fault. anyway feel the warmth and enjoy what you do. Good luck at the hospital. X

Cheers Colours yes the police do have a hard job and always get the sharp end of the stick unless they are wanted to help when people get hurt or have a burglary etc I do know what they go through as I was with them for 20 years most of the time its a thankless job, but so beit someone has to do it, hopefully with a smile. Thanks for the wishes, love Fred xxx :)

Sorry you're aching today Fred - hope it doesn't stop you enjoying your Mexican meal later . Can we look forward to an updated photo of you in a sombrero?😛 Also loved your jokes this morning - yours is the first post I look for each day . I also appreciated your comment on the Police - I often have to bite my tongue at some of the derogatory comments I hear ( well some times I don't !😁) Our daughter is in the Police with a very demanding job & goes home to a husband ( who is very supportive ) & a six year old child . Unfortunately we don't live close enough to them to be able to help out except during school holidays but I get so cross when I hear people criticising the Police . Anyway Fred , as our Grandsons in America would say ,"Have a nice day !" x 😘

Hi there Helen thanks for your lovely note, pleased that your daughter is in the police hope she enjoys the good part of the job, those people rioting rather than peaceful protest could be the same ones that will later be the ones asking for help from those same officers, anyway enough of that as I also had the pleasure of dealing with some lovely people most of the time and even now some of what were the young rouges are now married and go out of their way to say hello, funny old world. Likewise Helen you have a good day xx :)

Im not surprised your aching, Fred. Woodworking under the stairs! that sounds like a real backaching job to me. but I bet you are pleased with yourself, another job well done.

Its dull here just now, but the forecast is for a dry day at least. I cleared a bit of space in a flower bed yesterday, so want to put in some new Penstemons today. the Hellebores were taking over.

enjoy your Mexican lunch, its roast chicken for us. Love Iris x

Morning Iris I am not allowed to do any gardening unsupervised as I get weeds and some flowers mixed up so only allowed to cut branched and dig trenches and then I have to not go mad and cut back to much or dig to deep, so all in all I get away with having to do much in the garden I am no ones fool. Have a steady day Love as before xxx :) Fred

that sounds all too familiar! the strimmer has been known to cut more than grass, took out a clematis once! and as for staking - its more like strangling! Oh, he is awful, but I love him! iris x

Morning Fred loved the jokes especially the cheese one! Sounds like you enjoy your toys, hubby is outside making something to protect his hanging baskets so he can get them planted, whilst i sit in the warm, there are some plusses to having a lung problem! Enjoy your meal it sounds yummy. xx

You are funny Sheila the one advantage about having bad lungs is its excepted that I need a golf buggy when I go out for the rare game which will not be for a little while maybe when the sun returns to us. Hope hubby manages to achieve what he has set out to do if he does give him a well done :) speak later :) ;) xxx

Morning Fred. Jokes are really good. You are on form today even if your back does ache. Sometimes it's the type of job we do rather than the muscle we have to use to do it that causes the aches. I worked with the police for a few years and think it's one of the worst jobs now. Dammed if you do and dammed if you don't. Sure there are rogue ones but mostly they just want to do their job. Wouldn't be a policeman now even if I could for all the tea in China. Anyway take Colours advice and keep warm, leave the flowers (my hubby dug up all my beautiful geraniums as he thought they were weeds #!$*!! :x ) enjoy your Mexican, and have a lovely day. Sara xxx :)

Sara it seems we men have the same approach to gardening and all make the same mistake which stops us from being able to go it alone (shame) :)

I spent those 20 years as the desk officer, my favourite was when a person came into the station and asked to speak to a police officer in private, when I asked what was the problem, only to be told I know its not a police matter and you can not do anything but don't know what else to do, if I had an officer free one would sit and have a chat which was all that was needed.

Keep smiling Sara :) xxx

Yup, being a social worker is one of the many duties of a police officer. I'm sometimes amazed at how good they are even the younger ones. My Grandson is not happy with the police at all. He and his friends keep getting stopped and searched constantly. I think mainly because of their age and where they live so for some it's a moot point I guess. xx

Sara I wish I had never mentioned the police now, lets get back to smiley things. :) xxx

Hi Fred, sorry to hear you are not feeling so good this morning;. Sounds like you were working in a confined space yesterday & the muscles are protesting this morning. Hope it eases of soon. I have worked with many of the Police in my time because I worked in mental health. I think police have a difficult job and they are people, just like the rest of us, some are very kind with frightened people. Enjoy your meal, it,s traditional roast beef for us today. Dave is cooking & he is an excellent cook. I recall you worked in submarines, do you think that maybe contributed to your lung problems? In fact I am wondering, how is air maintained. Over months ! I shall puzzle over this now. Take care, Love Margaret x

Good morning Fred, another lie in for me this morning although was woken at 8.30 by No 2 daughter followed by No 1 daughter a few minutes later but stayed where I was and read for a while.

Loved the jokes this morning, don't know where you get them all from.

We are having chicken and chips today saving the pork for tomorrow.

Enjoy your Mexican.

And why not polly stay your ground or bed I should say, let them get on with what ever they have in mind. Like the idea of chicken and chips will brar that in mind for another day. I just hope Hannah does not put to much spice in the food unless there is plenty of soft drinks there. Have a lazy day. :) xxx Fred

Ha ha...yes, I was. I was over the lake for 7am this morning Fred. lol

Love the jokes. I'm off out for lunch today with the family.

I've just hoovered the car, because I had a leaky bag of sugar....groan.

Very overcast today, which is better for taking pics of swans.

Hope those aches and pains clear up today Fred :-) xxx

Speak tomorrow after you get back from the nest :) :) Fred xxx

You'll probably have had your Mexican meal by now Fred. Hope it wasn't too hot for you - good excuse for an extra beer, if that's your tipple 😀😀 Enjoy the rest of your day and hope the aches have eased off now. Jan xx

Its me again Jan not eaten yet, Hannah is doing the meal for early evening, so its just a bun for lunch, as for my tipple I used to love anything that was wet, when I was in submarines but not had any other that soda water for many a year now. :) I am feeling almost back to normal now love. Keep smiling Fred :) xxx
