British Medical Association has weighed in on Prime Minister David Cameron's health care proposals for the National Health Service.

The Allergists voted to scratch it, but the

Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves.

The Gastroenterologists had a sort of a gut feeling about it, but the

Neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve.

The Obstetricians felt they were all labouring under a misconception.

Ophthalmologists considered the idea short-sighted.

Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while the

Paediatricians said, "Oh, Grow up."

The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the

Radiologists could see right through it.

The Surgeons were fed up with the cuts and decided to wash their hands of the whole thing.

The Ear Nose and Throat specialists didn't swallow it, and just wouldn't hear of it.

The Pharmacists thought it was a bitter pill to swallow, and the

Plastic Surgeons said, "This puts a whole new face on the matter...."

The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the

Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea.

The Anaesthetists thought the whole idea was a gas, but the

Cardiologists didn't have the heart to say no.

In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the a***holes in Whitehall.

Don't leave the future of the NHS in the hands of a***holes: you can vote today to defend the NHS from more cuts and more privatisation.

More useful than my daughter who used to sing "Sex 'n' drugs 'n' rock'n'roll" in a piping treble from her passenger bike seat.

Yeah, lets hope Medow. Rita has been a teller for an hour each at three polling stations and is now going round town knocking up the people who promised to vote but haven't been down there yet. Then the ****** club is open all night. Im off down there this evening with my sleeping bag in the hope of getting a bit of kip between the cheering and laughing, or cursing and weeping. Then Im Rita's consort (!!!) at the local election count tomorrow. And phew, saturday it will all be over for better or worse. xxxx

Wonderful, I would like to share it too.

I would love to say i wrote it Azure, but it was sent round by the Politics of Health group who are usually much more seriously academic but now and again send round a gem like this! :)

I have shared it with people who will make sure it gets around. Seems to be a lot of people voting UKIP despite the efforts of the Tory Press.

Rupert Murdoch has a lot to answer for.

I haven't voted yet but will go when George comes back from his walk. I am still on antibiotics so a 2 mile trek round the park in the howling wind is not a good idea.

So shocking Dedalus. We are numb here but have to go to the local election count as my partner is standing for the city council (Canterbury).

Poor NHS - I wonder how the staff feel. :( :(

I just don,t understand, who are these people voting to destroy our NHS?I don,t know anybody that would, not happily pay another penny in tax to safeguard our health service. At least our constituency voted in the party that originally created the NHS,but this government may still ruin it.😡 👎🏼 👀

Now our local council is pretty much all Tory with a couple of Ukip and 3 labour. Rita missed it by 200 votes, coming 4th, with 3 seats. All desperately depressing. Can't write more right now.

Our NHS was put under a huge strain when the ''flood gates '' were opened along with our schools. The second biggest strain on the NHS is time wasters we have 1 consultant working in our pain clinic it's like weeing in the wind.

Liked the post by the way

Yes, we are too, and Rita did miss the city council seat by a small margin. In some ways she feels relieved as it would have been a constant struggle with only two other labour councillors on the entire city council, the rest tory or ukip.

But the whole situation is devastating. That Bevan quote is so apt; we are hoping there will be a surge in NHS activism. We will be there anyway.
