Visitors Coming...

Doing a bit of tidying up 'cos Teresa and Reuben will be here on Saturday...they have a shed in the garden to sleep in. It's a proper sort of a shed...fully insulated with lecky and a real bed.

They were talking about getting one when I was in hospital and I thought it was a totally mad idea...until I thought about it properly and decided I'd like a shed as well...

So now we have two neat wooden sheds...both made and erected by a very nice man named Neil...who has a twin called Eamon, which is extremely confusing when we used to call and see him at his farm...

Anyway my craft stuff is in my shed...well...most of it is...the first winter I used up so much electricity keeping warm that the bill was horrible, so this last winter I brought out the things I needed and kept them in the cottage...think it drives Himself crackers when there's barely space on the table to put a couple of plates...

We used to have a caravan...just a little one...and that's where T and R slept when they came to stay...but it began to fall to bits and the floor was a bit iffy and the bed uncomfortable...so we gave it to Jamie down the road and he put his puppy in it and then it fell even more to bits...

T's shed is close to the old Plum tree...tucked back a little...my shed is opposite and I've surrounded it with pots of flowers and tubs of veggies...

We both lust after having veranda's actually and proper sort of flag stones around...so we drop loud and obvious hints to Reuben who pretends he hasn't heard us...

It's lovely when they come over...we catch up on all the family gossip which is frequently jaw-dropping...Reuben wanders off down the road to talk to Wendy and he always goes with Himself to the supermarket and brings back cakes and biscuits that he's not allowed to eat at home...

Teresa...whose adult children and grandchildren cause her no end of grief one way and another...never stops talking from the time she gets off the 'plane to when she gets on it again...

We'll probably go to Gleeson's in Roscommon town for lunch one day while they're here...there's a little paved area in front of the restaurant with pretty trees hung with wind-chimes and nesting boxes on the walls which surround it. You could probably Google it actually not the wind-chimes and nesting boxes but Gleeson's. They have lovely food...fresh baked soda bread and goats cheeses...salads bursting with locally grown veggies and fat Black olives...sticky date slices...Irish coffee to die for...

Whatever we decide to do, we'll thoroughly enjoy having them here again.

You sound nice and set to have a wonderful time with your visitors and I do love the sound of the shed(s) Vashti. My son-in-law would be with you like a shot as he too would love your shed - well the one the guests will be staying in anyway. He and our daughter have a small shed in their small garden which was supposed to be for storing tools, toys etc. but is actually a games room/playroom for Steve and our grandson. Not quite what Louise had in mind.

Have a lovely time catching up on all the gossip and do pass it on if you want to, well some of it anyway perhaps.

Lots of love and enjoy yourself xxxxxx :)
