Its an April morning.

Well here we are approaching the end of April and its really proved its a funny month as we have just about had the full works weather wise, and last night we were back to what seemed like winter, outside a big coat was needed and on went the heating indoors, I thought at one point when the sky all of a sudden turned dark the we were in for a storm, but pleased to say all we had was a a bucket full of rain, which has now moved on up country somewhere. So at the moment it dry out there which I am pleased about as my Kate has asked me to take her to an appointment at the hospital this morning , its not till 0900 so I am alright for time.

This young lady went into the chemist and asked to use the infant scales to weigh the baby she had in her arms, the assistant told her they were sorry but the scales were under repair for the time being, but they could help her with the weight of baby.

What we will do is weight both mother and baby on the big scales, then we will weigh just the mother on her own, what we do then is we will subtract the second weight from the first one and that will give us the weight of the baby.

"That wont work" said the young lady, "Why asked the assistant" "Because I am not the babies mother I'm its Aunt."

Have a good day every one what ever it is you are doing today. :) ;) xxx Fred

Good morning Fred. Late on Parade. I've been waiting for your joke.

Nice one. One I can copy and post on our Family Group.

Dull and dreary here.

Have a good day.

Its most strange you have the word cancer on you notes and doors open , but then again depending on the number of days since the chemo will depend on how easy you would catch every thing that's going.

Keep smiling W xxxx :) ;)

Morning Fred. Hubby has just been for his morning paper and reports that it's cold outside - got the heating on so its lovely and warm inside😊 I hope it brightens up later because I'm still doing battle with our new garden - and at the moment the garden is winning lol. 😀😀. I hope you enjoy your day and that all goes well with Kate at the hospital. Jan xx

Thanks Jan weather same here, not that I have ventured out yet, Kate will be fine, its a check on her hearing as due to her health she is going deaf slowly, she normally goes off to work at the same time as her daughter Hannah but due to the timing that's why I need to step in as Hannah has the car. Hope you are able to get back into the garden building site, you will get there in the end, but steady as you go a little at a time. xx :)

Morning Fred. Bit of an extreme time my end. Greetings from London where I've gone for sad task of saying goodbye to an old friend who is in the hospice. But also to balance that sadness, catching up with other long term friends. Not just the weather which is the full works.

Now back to Whitstable today via a funeral of another friend from Breathe Easy at Sittingbourne. And finally a protest outside our Crown post office as it is due to be shut down this evening - imagine a town of 30,000 with no post office.

I do hope Kate's appointment goes well and any increase in hearing loss is a very small one. Thinking of you both :) :) xxx

Oh what a sad time you are having love, its always so sad to say goodbye to a friend whether old or new, they only thing I think sometimes is that there is no more pain.

Yes its crazy no more post office, we are lucky we have a main one and a great little sub post office which is so helpful it would be a great loss if it went. Kate's health is on the down ward trend as there is no cure for her problem but she is a positive lady and already saving for the type of cart she wants with double wing mirrors, that's my girl. Stay safe and don't shout to loud. :) ;) xxx

How did the protest go, many turn out I hope so and also did it stay dry , sorry all those questions. xxx :)

Fifteen people currently occupying the post office with support of the managers. Police outside threatening to bring a van down and get them out. I left before that happened and wondering whether to go down and support but very tired. Also don't want another fine as i and two others chained ourselves to a tree on a railway embankment that Network Rail were threatening to cut down trees on, three years ago and had a £50 fine then; not sure what would happen if i committed a second offence. Perhaps I'm just growing old . . .

Thanks for your interest Fred :) :) xxx

Chuckling.....good morning Fred.

It's tipping down here and sounded lovely lashing against the windows when I woke up first thing. It's cold as well.

I had a lovely lunch out with my friend yesterday, then I went to visit Mum and Dad. Talking of Mum....it's her birthday today, she's 84 years old and looking good.

Have a nice day Fred...I shall be singing in the rain today. :-) xxx

Pleased to see we all seem to do the same I always refer to Kate as number 1 daughter and Deborah as number 2 but that does not mean they are loved any different just the way they appeared in this world, you saying about your fridge reminds me that my freezer is in need of a work over or else things will not be able get out, oh well put it on the list. Enjoy your day. xxx :)

oh that brought on a coughing fit making me laugh.. :) :)

Yeah i did it myself when mine were babies, and the man in the greengrocers use to weigh my oldest son in his shop scales that the potatoes got weighed in which use to make customers giggle......your story just made me wonder if anyone had actually said it wouldn't work due to them not being the babies mother x x

Hmmm, didn't sit in but supported from outside, and welcomed them when they emerged at midnight. Bianca Jaggar tweeted support, and loads of other messages from round the country. BBC were there as they are making a documentary about post offices closing all over the UK.

Sorry flib, not so wise after all and Rita says if i get a cold Im on my own. Repeating you, I can't imagine why :D

Lashings of echinacea, First Defence etc before bed.

Bit of an exciting evening. Night everyone :) :) xx
