Double blow!

I was diagnosed last week with Primary Biliary Cirrhosis and two days later saw surgeon about lung nodules that have grown. The outcome of this is I will be going up to Brompton at some point for operation to remove 3 nodules .this will be open surgery as not in good position for keyhole.has anyone had this done .
