Vacuum Blues šŸ˜€

Hey everyone

Quiet week on here. Gotta say the visit from Coughs roommates ( those handsome aliens ) spiced things up a bit!

I'm wondering what vacuum you guys use.

I'm looking for something light enough to take upstairs. Any recommendations?

I appreciate it. Hope all is well with everyone. ( Thinking of you Fred ) šŸ˜Š

I would agree Stone. The best investment we have made recently. We got the DC59 model because our coilie seems to cast a lot.

Makes the hoovering much easier.

We bought a Beldray 2 in 1 vacuum stick from BM for Ā£19.99. Does the job. :)

One extreme to the other !! :)

What do you mean?

peege in reply to rubyred777

Hi, I think Puff means price wise Ruby because the Dysons are quite expensive.

I have the smallest Dyson City. Very light and extraordinarily efficient. I bought it because I have a lot of stairs. According to the Dyson service engineer it is by far the best one so I'm even more pleased that I bought it. Worth every penny. X

Yes true. The price range is massive ! :)

Cheeeeky! I have heard GTec do a great lightweight one where you plug in to get the charge so you have no cord. I haven't got one myself but others have said how good they are. They are quite expensive though at around Ā£200. x

Thanks cough. Thats pretty expensive for me . What does cheeky mean? Trying to learn your slang. Got some of your words down. Teach me Cough.

I believe in money your 200 would be 298 for me. Do you understand it?

Rubyxx šŸ˜Š šŸ˜Š

in reply to rubyred777

Impertinently bold; impudent and saucy. That is how I meant it. It is not a bad thing ie someone taking the mickey in a nice way.

$298 equals around Ā£200. Yep that sounds about right. It might be cheaper in the States though as most things are. x

Got me again! Taking the mickey? Lol..... I'm so american!

šŸ˜€šŸ˜€

in reply to rubyred777

Ha ha ha cheeky isn't slang but taking the mickey is. It's when you wind someone up usually in a nice way. Taking the p...s out of them. The other usage is when someone expects too much of you or is putting on you. Example if someone asks you to go the shop for them then wants you to pay for it. You would say they are taking the mickey.

I don't charge much for English lessons :) x

Have your though bout buying one on mail orders some complies would be only to happy to send you one you would have to check out the postage cost with them you might be lucky to get free postage check it out with a few companies first. Also you could do a lay-by on the cleaner. Good luck.

I've got a Henry, hufferpuffer and I haven't got the dtrength to push it on carpets. The suction is too powerful. would love a new, light one but, can't afford one yet. x

Our main one is a Henry. I've had it for years and never had a problem with it. Very powerful as well.

Do you have one? I will ck. It out.šŸ˜ŠšŸ˜Š

in reply to rubyred777

No but im getting one its a nightmare doing the vacuuming i get my oxygen pipe and the vacuum lead tangled all the time plus the weight of my vacuum is a problem i can only do the rug and need a lay down....

One of the dyson models are on sale but the one i want is nearly Ā£350 and im breaking out in a sweat at the thought of spending that much on a vacuum cleaner ...ive bought a car in the past for that much :) x x

BTW. Aren't we going to lose our choice of vacuum cleaner power soon? That is in the UK. It's already happened in France when everyone was rushing to buy powerful vacuum cleaners before the deadline last year.

EU rules on saving energy! Daft I say, it will just take twice as long to do the job.

in reply to peege

Well thats news to me and stupid...as you said it will take twice the time so where is the energy saving.....just another con to make money x
