has anybody tried the Airnergy machine? Sounds good but it is expensive so want to check before blowing my savings. It's a shame they don't offer a home trial which makes me definitely think twice.

Hi. I had a trial last year but its impossible to assess on just one go. I didn't proceed due to the cost and negative comments posted.

If you look at this it does seem that the only positive reply was a person who registered after the post and only post 4 times and 3 on the same thread saying how good the airenergy was, but could quote different places to loan them from (Agents)??
When you google it is full of sites that sell or promote its use at its own premises. But I went back quite a bit and could not find medical reviews anywhere? seems a little like snake oil selling to me.

Waste of money and obviously some G.P is being paid generously to promote it, even though there's no scientific evidence to back it up. However there is some science to support the use of certain supplement such as Sulforaphane, NAC and it would seem that most chronically ill COPD sufferers have low levels of Vit D (though I believe it has to be taken with K2). A healthy balanced diet with lots of green veg would supply Vit K and along with some fruit with support your immune system. Please do your research and use good sources for the clinical evidence and any contra-indications. There does seem to be a link between diet and COPD and I have heard of Vit A used in trials, though Vit D and Vit A are not water soluble vitamins, so should be supplemented with caution and perhaps just making sure you have an all round balanced diet. I have a nutribullet 900 which juices the veg and fruits, but leaves in all the good fibre. You can add green leaved veg such as kale, brocolli and spinach which would provide the sulforaphane and Vit K and eat other foods rich in Vit A and D and when the sun is shinning go out and sit in the sun for half an hour, or as someone else said spend the money on a holiday. There's no better tonics than a holiday, good diet and some sunshine.
Thankyou Doris 59. I have takenNAC supplemnts in the past and will get back into it. A couple of years ago I spend 4 weeks during the winter in suthern Spain which seemed to help being away from the damp. It's difficult to avoid catching viruses when travelling in London, everybody seems to be coughing and sneezing on public transport.
The idea is to avoid exacerbatiobns but not easy to do so.
Spriung is here so maybe I can get free of the anti biotics and often steroids.
I have also done abiut 20 sessions at the Salt Cave. Does anybody have positive feedback on that for dealing with COPD?
i bought one last year and don't regret it. I did try one out before i made the purchase as a friend of mine bought one. After the first session i found i could breathe more deeply.
i suspect a lot of the criticism is from people who don't even have one and i must admit their technology is somewhat ahead of its time, so people don't understand it so well. I have moderate copd and use mine for 30 minutes each morning. I didn't take it with me on a two week holiday last year and I really felt the difference.
If you are in northern England, you are welcome to come and try mine.
Can you post the links for all these scientific trials Daisy? You can buy plants that are good for oxygenating the air in rooms at a fraction of the cost. Until you get the hard evidence and this device has the stamp of approval from the BLF, the BTF and NICE then I would not waste all your savings on a device that may at best, just give a placebo effect. Do the research from the proper sources and read clinical reports from scientific and unbiased researchers. Seems an awful lot of money to me and one of the best ways to improve your COPD and balance your blood gases is by breathing exersizes. If you need oxygen then the NHS should provide it for you, for nothing.
Do explore the findings available on the internet. I was very attracted to the idea until my son delved into it in great details and we decided ti stay well clear. It is an expensive con.
thank you, I still feel that it could be sold with a trial period at home. If they were confident that is what they would do.
If they really thought that their machine provided any benefits beyond the placebo effect they'd submit it to independent placebo-controlled clinical trials.
It's plain to anyone with the most basic knowledge of physics that it's nothing but hi-tech homeopathy.
