Hi Paper man I have been using Tiotropium (Spiriva) for a number of years. So far I do not have any issues but I am very aware that prostate problems are a possible side effect. It is something that I am concerned about but so far I have convinced myself and my GP that my retention problem is due to my morphine dosage.

Regards Rib

Hubby has this problem and takes this medicine, didn't realise it could have been the meds that caused it. He has been to the hospital and now takes an additional two tablets for the problem, they have sort of helped but he still gets up 2-3 times a night

Hi, Pete does not use Spiriva but does have COPD and has an enlarged prostate. At the moment he is doing well but has had 3 TURPs ops in the past plus one bladder neck incision. He also has sarcoidosis so have no idea if this has contributed to his prostate symptoms. xx
