Its still cold out but I'm fed up so it was time to get kitted up and break out.

I've seen a little to much of my 4 walls this winter, my phone tells me its 9 degrees in Malvern today so it was time to get out and get some much needed fresh air into my clogged up lungs.

It seems my phone forgot to tell me about the thing they call the chill factor as it felt more like 0 degrees when out on the open common in a bitter wind. Maybe I've gone a little soft but I'll soon get up to speed.

As usual I took a few winter pics along the way, they make it look warmer than it actually was as the sun was shining.

I'm feeling good right now and so are my lungs so I'm glad I got the walking boots on and just got OUT THERE.!!!

click the link Healthunlockeders and join me on a virtual walk to peachfield common, its a lot warmer this way. :)

Nice pics again Tony so nice to be reminded of the place I spent so much time on camping on the Malvern's I will be making a break for it on Friday when I get my feet done and then again on Saturday when I have a appointment with the cardiologist. Not quite ready to go out on my own yet will be another month or two by that time I probably would have gone stir crazy. X: :D :D

Hi Ant, I'm glad my pics brought back some good memories for you, it was a little to cold out there today for my liking but It just had to be done. I coughed up loads of gunk and I still am but that can only be a good thing, my head also feels much clearer to, so all's well back at the dall house this evening.

You've had it very rough with the pneumonia and things so take it easy for a while longer yet, stay warm, keep calm, get those feet sorted and look forward to the coming spring/summer, there almost here now. :) .

hi tony , great photos, but as you say its colder than what we think, ive been same as you sick of seeing the four walls :D [anyone would think we were in prison :D ] but decided yesterday and today, to start light exercising out side in my garden, i managed bit and bobs but my goodness the weather up here turned wild, sleet snow wind etc, very cold, however again like you i did manage to clear my lungs a bit,, but ohh, roll on the decent weather :D

always good to hear of your jaunts tony and see some great pics and videos etc, may you get out again soon, best regards jimmy :)

May we both get out soon Jimmy and for a bit longer next time maybe. Its great to get outside but we have to be careful to and not to overdo things as well.

No sleet or snow here but that wind was cold enough to send me home before getting any silly ideas of walking to the top of the Beacon. :)

Great to see you back and posting again Jimmy after the hard time you've been having.

By the way my Dad is overrun with squirrels pinching his bird food, he's made a trap which has proved very successful. He then takes them for a car ride and lets them go in some woodland a few miles away where I'm pretty sure there finding their way back to his bird feeder. Ha Ha.

:D :D always good to hear from you tony, yes welle get out soon :)

you reminded me of the true story of a old chap i know who said there was mice in his house :PD he said he found the best way to catch it was lay a big paper bag out, with a little chocolate, then when he thought the mouse was in it,,, he picked it up quick, caught the mouse :D i asked him what he done with the mouse, he said " i took it downstairs then let it go outside" he then told me how great this idea was as he was catching one a day , i hadn't the heart to tell him it was probably the same mouse :D :D

all the best tony,, off to kip now, carer coming at 7am tomorrow shower morning,, really looking forward to that :D :D NOT :D

Good for you Tony! Best thing to do is get out and get moving, it gets those 'feel good' endorphins working in your brain :D lovely pics, I did some work years ago in Malvern and walked about on my half day, such a beautiful place! :) huff xxx

I am very lucky hufferpuffer, it makes my walks such a pleasure even when my lungs are protesting about all the hills. At least the air is clear I keep telling them so stop complaining and keep puffing. :) xxx

My walks are what keeps me going so now the weather is starting to improve there's no stopping me. Of course I always go armed with a camera so a few others can enjoy them as well. :)

Hi Jolyn, getting out yesterday has put an extra spring in my step and my brain is sharper for it to. This is a good time of year I find as we have only improving weather and longer brighter days ahead. :)

Onwards and upwards as ever!! Bloody brilliant xxx

Hi Cora, The flowers are crocus's, their in the same spot every year so I thought I would pop along snap them and say hello. :)

I have seen daff's up in flower on the road side while driving to Worcester so spring is on its way, There are Blackbirds pairing up in the garden and their busy looking for their usual nesting places.

Its all happening here in Malvern it seems.

Thanks sassy, winter is all about survival for us lot but now we can really start to think about enjoying another summer, bring it on I say. :)

Take care yourself sassy and I hope you had a good time down the virtual pub with the others. My experience didn't quite go to plan in the real world, I'll copy and paste my reply to coughalot to explain.

OMG I cant believe it, (kaiser chiefs again) Getting to the pub proved a little harder than I expected, My mate Jack turned up on time so I jumped in his Landrover and off we set. Literally got to the end of the estate road when a horrible noise appeared coming from the passenger side rear wheel area. Jack pulled over and we jumped out to see what was going on. There was a loud hissing sound coming from the rear tyre and a large metal object sticking out of it. Well we cursed a little but new what we had to do. Now Jack has COPD and I have pulmonary fibrosis so the once simple task for us of changing a spare wheel was now a mountain to climb.

I looked around and there was no little old ladies around who could have been in better condition than the two of us put together so we had to tackle the job ourselves.

Luckily we had all the correct tools and know how but were a little lacking in the physical department. After a load of 4 letter words, huffing and puffing, laughter, 1/2 an hour had passed but we managed to completed the task without having to call an ambulance so off we set again to the pub covered in tyre black rubber and brake dust.

For some reason my pint tasted extra special, probably because we had to earn it today so I had another to help my tuna roll and chips wash down. :) Any excuse eh!!

How did your pub lunch go today, was there a riot up North?????

What a busy day you had Tony! Glad you completed the job though to no ill effect. There was definitely a riot up North but great fun as you might expect. Take care, keep warm and here's to better days ahead. xxxxx

Well done Tony and with beautiful views like that I don't blame you for getting out the winter is a long time. When the old man and I go out for a walk we take a flask of hot soup with us so that when we get back to car we have something warm to drink and it blows the cobwebs away

A flask of hot soup sounds like a good idea, one I must try until the weather finally improves and then a cold drink could take over.

Good thinking onamission, Thanks :) . xx
