My apologies if you are all fed up with me just now. lol Another update for you.
Many of you will have noticed that Jimmy hasn't been posting for a wee while.
Firstly, as his health problems are well documented and most of you know him, there is little point in going through is health issues individually, but Jimmy is not well at the moment. He has been getting a day here and there when he is slightly better, but mostly is not well at all. He has yet another chest infection, and is on further antibiotics and steroids. He also has a bladder infection, broken skin with his dreadful itch and is in extreme pain with his foot and leg.
Unfortunately, not much seems to be getting done medically for his foot, so he is understandably very frustrated at his situation, although he has promised to get the Dr back tomorrow.
My apologies Jimmy for this next bit, but I am only saying it for your own good, and that you may listen to others, although you know I understand perfectly well your reasons for not doing what I am about to say.
The doctor wants Jimmy to go into hospital for investigations and treatment and Jimmy doesn't want to
go, for reasons that are understandable, although he may yet come round to that way of thinking.. A few days now might well mean a huge difference to his quality of life, and also having someone around all the time to look after him for a while will help, as it will help his coughing and breathing as well, which is exhausting him too, He needs a lot of rest and even more TLC.
To further cause him problems his computer has broken down and has been offline for almost a week. He hopes to get it back tomorrow or Tuesday, so he hasn't even been able to get distracted by going online. I am hoping when he gets back online he will get a great boost from the replies and that will encourage him a great deal.
Get well soon Jimmy, and we are all rooting for you. Hope you like the picture, I thought it appropriate under the circumstances. lol Hurry back, we miss you and your jokes. Plus, all your detective work is piling up too, and MCO needs you.

Thanks again Huggs for another great update. Wishing you well lovely jimmy and if you have to go into Hospital for a little while then so be it. Think of all those nurses fussing around you - you might even get a bed bath! Just get well soon and how come you are itching? Pete is very itchy too (could be his water tablet) and has nasty patches on his shin and now on his ankle and arm. Honestly you men.

Jimmy has had an extreme itch for a couple of weeks approx., and it is so severe that his leg is now bandaged from top to toe in gauze as his skin is red and bleeding, but the doc is unsure as to the cause. His leg is the worst but the itch is all over. Do forgive us women discussing your itch Jimmy! lol
Huggs you are a star!!! Thank you for your updates, I think they are brilliant and how else would we know what is happening to our much loved folk! ....... Jimmy I have been so concerned about you and what was happening over the maddening itch! I'm so sad you have been having a miserable old time and because I have a hospital phobia I really don't know what to say about that, I just wish I could take care of you, I'd do a fabulous job I promise! I do hope you take the doctors advice and settle in for some TLC which should sort your issues out quicker and by the sound of things you would benefit from some care not to mention breakfast in bed. I loathe hospitals to but sometimes they can get you up and at ém much quicker than if you struggle along at home with more than one infection to deal with. Nobody could get annoyed with u MB, ur so caring and thoughtful, even with ur own genuine health issues, ur always there for everyone, as for jimmy I know it's hard going into hospital but if it will help then it's a good thing and I'm sure u can play the nurses up jimmy. Hope you get well soon Jim Boy take it from me please reconsider about not going into hospital I tried to fight pneumonia on my own with home oxygen not a chance as my health deteriorated and much honking (where it came from I don't know) I was in near respiratory arrest when they finally took me in to hospital. I know a lot of us who have lived alone have this independence streak in us so come on Jimmy for your family on HU please give a deep thought and go.
And Huggs no I will never get fed up of you keeping us posted on other health users on this site you do an admiral service well done.
Thanks for your heartfelt plea for Jimmy to go into hospital. I know he is going to murder me ( he will have to catch me first though. lol) for telling everyone but hope that he listens to people like you who have been through the worst of times. So pleased that you are recovering ant, but sorry you had to go through all that. I think that all happened when I was offline for a while.

Huggs you are so kind of course we never get fed up with you, how would we be able to send our good wishes to jimmy if you had not told us.
Jimmy think about your health long term, just a short stay in hospital could mean such a difference to you for the Spring and Summer months ahead, you will be looked after by all of those lovely nurses, and fed 3 times a day I know its not ideal but it must be better than how you are suffering at the moment..
Hope that computer will be mended very soon.
Please give it some serious thought, lots of people on here included me thinking of you and sending you our best wishes.
I hope Jimmy listens to you and the others, as he is really just treading water just now and not getting anywhere fast, and I do understand his reasons for not wanting to go to hospital, as I am exactly the same, but he is much worse than me and needs more help, but I think he is gradually coming round to the idea, and maybe when he sees all the messages saying the same thing, it will help him to make the right decision. Hi Jimmy. I'm so sorry you are are in such misery and I too urge you to listen to Huggs. She makes good sense. I feel like you do about hospitals but your situation is very different from last time you went into hospital. You especially need more help with that leg and foot pain until they get the cause sorted out for you. Also they can do a thorough investigation into your recurring chest infections and do something about it. I hope you get your laptop back soon Jimmy so that you can read all our messages. I am trying to make you smile, amid all that itch, so I'll tell you a secret story. When I was 7, I was in hospital a couple of months with Scarlet fever; I did a most naughty thing; I caught a frog on the veranda & released it into the ward. It made the Nurses squeal & me giggle. Hush, it's a secret, Apart from frogs what mischief could you do? Get better soon Jimmy.

You and I are in total agreement with what you have just said, and others too. I will certainly pass on your love and good wishes, along with squirrels, but hope he will be able to read them for himself soon.
I hope he does too, and will be trying to contact him again later tonight. I couldn't get hold of him yesterday, and have been on the mainland today, so I am now just getting back into replying again. Thanks again, and if I get Jimmy, I am going to read out every single message to him.
You are welcome, and my apologies for the late reply. I did speak to Jimmy on Monday night, and he said he was a little better. I read out a lot of the messages to him and he was very grateful, and said he would get the DR out if he didn't improve...but............?
I am hoping once he gets online and sees all the messages, it will encourage him, although he has also said he will know himself when it is time to go in. I have done that myself, kept talking myself out of it and regretted it. If his infections issues were brought under control, then that at least would be a start, as oral antibiotics are not doing him any good at all.
I think so eyes, especially Scottish ones called Jimmy.
I told him you said I was always right, and he agreed with me, so I am more worried now. lol
I will try and contact him tonight, and see how he is doing now.
I am fine thanks eyes, just the usual ups and downs that we all have, and a lot better than most. Hope you are doing okay too, and managing to get out and taking great photos.

I know how hard it can be to go into hospital, i have a huge phobia of staying in hospital, and went through an awful stage of having to be in a week or so every month for almost a year with breathing issues, and in fairness I found it so hard to say the very least!
But I do know one thing... The respiratory team were completely amazing, they took all my fears Into account and did everything they could to make me better. I couldn't have asked for better care.
They still look after my care as an outpatient and I still can't fault them whatsoever!
I believe that any hospital will have the same kind of team, as respiratory is a tough job to do, and they wouldn't do the Job if they didn't seriously care and want to help.
I hope you find it in you to trust them and let them help you get better, they will speed your recovery up and you will be back making us all smile with your jokes in no time at all!!

Thanks for your supportive message for Jimmy, which he will appreciate very much. If he isn't online yet I will read out all the messages for him, so he can see how much we all care about him and also to let him realise that everyone is saying the same thing about going into hospital. I too am phobic about being an inpatient, and usually call it, 'going inside' but the staff are generally always helpful, and it really is the best place for him just now. I do understand his reasons for not wanting to go in though, but he is getting nowhere just staying at home, so there is little option really.

So sorry to hear you are having a rough time. If you have to go into hospital, get yourself in, it might only be a few days, but they will get to the bottom of the itching, as it must be driving you mad. Huggs - what would we do without you? Our very own oracle - nice for you to know you're appreciated by so many of us. I can only add my voice and concern to that of others and hope that Jimmy will heed all the advice given. On more than one occasion he's responded to a query or concern I've had and it's helped me to know what someone has read my post and taken the trouble to reply. We just want him well again.

You are right work is piling up, I need him back to solve all these crimes. Can you please tell him that we are becoming well known for our good work and people are contacting me daily asking for our help in solving crimes. I've even had a request from a lady asking if we can solve the problem of her missing frogs, they live in her garden poo,l but she can't find them anywhere. This is another mystery for us to solve. Can you please tell jimmy that I've got him a new deerstalker and magnifying glass.

It has been a bit busy these past few days, so apologies for my delay in replying to you, but I was on the mainland for an appointment today, so couldn't get anything done.
Jimmy is so independent and stubborn, both good traits when chronically ill, but there comes a time when we all need to accept help, and that time is now for Jimmy, so I am hoping that everyone's messages will help him realise this.

Seriously though,what would we do without you - you spend so much time updating us all when others cannot let us know what is happening with them ,whether it's their own health or their "lappies". I can't really add anything to all the wonderful posts about Jimmy & just hope he has decided to accept whatever help is offered to him . He has so many health issues it never ceases to amaze me how cheerful he stays - but come on Jimmy -enoughs enough - please let someone help & then you can get be reunited with your "lappie " & get back to cheering us all up again . I don't know anyone who likes hospitals, but sometimes you have to give in to get the best treatment. Better that than weeks of suffering at home! Huggs, I've been on pins wondering what was happening to the wee lad so, like all on here, I thank you from the heart of my bottom - got that a bit wrong I think!!! I know the itch was driving him round the bend in the last post I saw and I get the feeling that one of his meds quarreling with another could be the cause, but if the stubborn feller won't go in he won't get sorted. If we've told you once Jimmy........! For the hundredth time get in there, have a relax and let them do their stuff - we all loathe hospitals but there comes a time when we really need to get over that and I think you know you've got to give it a go. Your choice, but I really agree with all your other friends on here.

Hi huggs, been busy so not been on the site for a couple days....sent Jimmy a message last week but not heard back ...knew he must still be bad...... Jimmy as much as you hate it (we all do) but hospital is the best place they will get you back on your feet....and then think of all the fun you could have tormenting those poor nurses...do bite the bullet and get in hospital .....get yourself on the mend we all miss you.

Thanks for your lovely message for JImmy and your kind words. I spoke to Jimmy last night and his breathing is still very bad. He said he would get the doctor today if he isn't any better, but.........? I read out many of the messages to him, and he was very moved by all the responses. He has now got a computer but is waiting on a lead so he can access his emails which should happen today, and I am sure he will post if he can.
He also assured me that he would know when he has to go into hospital! I cannot talk, as I am the same myself, but I think many of us talk ourselves out of it, for as long as possible.
I hope he gets extra help which he needs asap.

As for Jimmy, well I have just been there and was dead against going to the hospital, my wife however thought different, rang 999 and saved my life.
We all know where jimmy is coming from, none of us like hospital and sometimes find it hard to accept the fact that we cannot heal ourselves but need outside help.
Had my family listened to me they would be in mourning today instead of preparing for the spring and summer days ahead.
Do what's right jimmy and remember all of your friends are behind you.

I hope your experience encourages Jimmy to get more help. I have just found out that he is now back online, but with a new computer to get to grips with it may take him a bit of time to get around to posting, but he has now email access. Hopefully all the lovely messages will boost him, but he has said he is "going to get me", for telling. lol
I hope you continue to improve Allan, and I am so pleased that you still have that burning hunger to see new days and the appreciation for the simple pleasures of life.
Just a wee update on jimmy123 he has the district nurse coming later today to check/change his catheter. ...He possibly has an infection after waiting so long to get it sorted! Doctor is also going to check him out as full course of steroids and and antibiotics haven't cleared his chest! Council dealt with again lol, carers still not doing best job but we are coping. Jimmy still offline, but I'm always around if you need update & ☺☺hopefully Jimmy be back soon
