Morning thomo

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Has the realisation set in yet? I feel it helps coming to terms with the diag. then you can plan for a healthier future. Make sure you are eating well and keep warm in this cold and blustery season. Keep moving around to keep your circulation going.

We are all here to support and listen so if you have any questions just fire away.

Take care

Glad you have lots of tests and now you are sure of the diagnosis. Has anyone explained why you are in so much pain? I hope that the pain subsides soon and you start to feel better. If you have any questions there are lots of people who will be able to help you and You can call the helpline on 03000 030 555 Lines are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. Lots of love TAD xx (PS Just a word of caution my husband had a very strange reaction to codeine, after four days he started to hallucinate!!)

" thomo84... Hello and a big warm welcome to you....Awe you sound just how i was just before i was diagnosed with stage 4 COPD. i at the time had no idea it was COPD ... as like you, my pains where all in my back and my ribs.i too had all the tests etc that you have just had..well months on i have no pain in my ribs or back from the what i know now is COPD. but then all the treatment and pain medication that i am now on, seem to be helping and apart from the odd infection i am feeling so much better, which i am sure you will too.Just give yourself time thomo... Have you been offered pulmonary rehab yet? as that really helps a lot...so please try to bear with it, for it will feel so much better when the medication kicks in..how many puffers have they given you..for they need time to get into your blood stream too. please let us know how your doing and dont be afraid to ask anyone of us questions. we all try to support each other...keep warm..Megan."
