Its been a busy week

It started last Thursday with a two night stay in a Marco Pierre White Hotel near Bath for me and Sharon, a Christmas present from our very lovely daughter, this also involved a days shopping around the famous Christmas street Market in temperatures no man on the lung transplant list should take on but then you know me by now. After the first 100 yards I was breathing so badly and coughing and spluttering it seemed an impossible task but I sort of acclimatised and was ok from there on.

We walked many miles it seemed and bought very little but it was still a very enjoyable day out checking out the stalls, architecture, pubs and scenery that Bath had to offer.

There was more shopping done on the weekend after returning home, then I managed the Monday river walk which was a little shorter than normal due to the path being flooded as the river was at its highest for some time.plus.google.com/10152331535...

Next, on Tuesday I had a 3 monthly transplant check up at the QE at 8.45am which meant a very early start, I really struggled 420 meters on the 6 minute walk but I have done worse so no need to panic, I just felt fatigued and tired so It was never going to be close to a record.

Yesterday I was up early buying tickets on the internet for AC/DC at Wembley on July the 4th, they had to be bought as soon as they came on sale as it was going to sell out within hours.

This morning I was off to the bloods INR nurse only to find out my INR has risen from 2.3 to 3.4 since last week probably due to me increasing my steroids so warfarin dose now needs adjusting accordingly.

Then this was followed by the Fit to Breathe Christmas doo which included I of the members playing Shadows songs on his guitar and another member playing Mozart on the piano which he followed up with a joke.

What's the Difference Between Complete and Finished "Some say there is no difference between complete and finished. Explain the difference between complete and finished in a way that is easy to understand." "When you marry the right woman, you are complete. But, when you marry the wrong woman, you are finished. If the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are completely finished."

It seems this pianist is multi talented and fun too.

Anyway I'm now planning on a bit of a rest so I'm ready for Christmas in a weeks time.

As well as exercise, rest plays a crucial part in staying well eh' Healthunlockeders. :)

Tony

Keeping busy as usual, Tony. The Hotel looks lovely. x

You went to Bath, only 30 mins from where we live - and boy what a busy schedule too. Great walk as usual and love the swans.

AC/DC, you have good taste :)

Hi Tony. See nothing has changed! You're still going head first at it. But with style! It's good to hear you're as chipper as always.

Sounds like things are moving along for you in the lung transplant department. I have a nephew who had a double lung transplant coming up to two years ago now. He looks so fit and well. The first thing he did when he visited us after the transplant was a little dance into our house. He has gone from strength to strength since then. I always think of you when he visits. Unlike you he could barely walk five metres without being seriously out of breath.

Like the joke!
